This is a gem tucked away in a very rural location. We enjoyed an early evening dinner beside the fireplace. Food was exceptional, it is very dog friendly and the service was super efficient. Really enjoyed our visit to this lovely Inn in such a beautiful spot which we visit often. Staff were so friendly - I have gluten free diet and the manager couldnât have done enough to make sure I was catered for. Food was really good and the atmosphere very welcoming. Will definitely be back!

booked for both Friday and Saturday evening but cancelled Saturday.service was none comital, we had to find our own table in the conservatory, "your in there" we were told at the bar1 pint of beer.1 std gin and a small red wine.1 x pate starter was ok, to be expected as pub fare. 2 x steak suet puddings (they are not pies) were fine with lots of chips.this came to £58. Not good value, not the pubs direct fault but lots of customers with dogs, barking and trying to escape, sign at the front of the pub "best food in the dale" i hope not as we'll try to find better tomorrow.

Very friendly and efficient service. Food nothing to write home about, but ok. There's something about the restaurant setting that doesn't quite work - it's "neither fish nor fowl" - not quite a restaurant, but still a pub bar really. Excellent beers, but descriptions of (at least one of) the wines on the wine list innaccurate & misleading.

The Gamekeeper's Inn provides patrons with a menu packed with delicious meals and cuisines. Formerly a Gamekeeper's Cottage, the pub has been revamped using modern slate and stone work for a stunning look both outside and inn. We operate Steak Night, Asia

Letâs get things straight right from the start, this is a pub, a proper pub, not some plastic face lifted facsimile of pub. Admittedly itâs not fancy but itâs all the better for it. The beer, Black Sheep, Timothy Taylorâs or Tetley is fantastic and the food is great value good honest pub grub. My steak and Ale pie was great served with chips lots of fresh veg and loads of lovely rich meaty gravy just the thing after a days walking the dales.

This is a lovely pub inside, would love to visit in the summer and be able to sit outside. Nice couple of eating areas inside so you are not all sitting on top of each other. Great menu and prices, specials board is good too, great variety of different foods. Good price. Good staff too.

Typically Dales food menu containing traditional and A La Carte dishes, all made on the premises from locally sourced produce. Home-made sweets also. Concession and child menu at lunch-times. Sunday Roast dinners every Sunday.
After a 30km walk on the Dales Way, a meal in the restaurant was wonderful. Leon looked after us so well. The fajitas and sweet potato curry replenished is beautifully! An interesting and catchy 60s revival ukulele band added great atmosphere. A marvellous evening!Thank you for your brilliant review, we certainly appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. We are delighted to hear that the meal you had hit the spot after your massive walk, and that Leon looked after you very well, we will pass the comments on to him. The local ukulele band play every Tuesday and set a wonderful ambience in the pub, we are glad you enjoyed them. We hope you will return when you undertake your next marathon in Grassington! Kind regards

Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire National Park, the Clarendon is a country pub with rooms award winning food & ale in a relax & comfortable surroundings with award wining menus
Enjoyed another lovely meal at the Clarendon with three friends who all praised the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. The owner is particularly proud of the amount of ingredients which are sourced within a couple of miles of the pub.I can't understand the comments of the previous reviewer related to game food. You come to a country pub which prides itself on local produce and then criticise it for cooking grouse!

Professionally run by (apparently) an excellent team of ladies. Friendly, good service. Home-cooked, fresh food (the pie was excellent). Vibrant atmosphere with a mix of locals and visitors. Just fitted us in without booking mid-week in October, so suggest booking to be sure most of the time.
