I requested a seat outside because it’s a beautiful day. I was given a menu. 10 minutes went by during which two other parties were seated outside. A waitress finally appeared And proceeded to take the order of a couple that arrived after I did. After taking their order, she looked right through me and proceeded to take the order of a group that had also arrived after me. I pointed out to her that I had arrived first, At which point she asked me what I wanted, and I said nothing. As I got up to leave I heard this waitress and the larger group laughing. Not so much as an apology for leaving me sitting there for 10 minutes as if I were invisible. I will never eat here again. Extremely rude service.I am sorry that Caitlin did not approach you first when she got out to the Deck. Unfortunately our bartender scheduled for Thursday lunch called out sick forcing Caitlin to set up the bar and the restaurant with help from me. There were a number of customers who had just sat at the bar and tables inside the pub when you walked in as I was leaving to pick up some plant at a local nursery with a landscaper who had arranged to take me to the Nursery and help select plants at their annual customer appreciation day. Of course being short one employee puts a strain on service and we did manage to get another server to come in early to help, but he did not arrive until 30 minutes after you left unhappy. After I sat you, I did seat two other groups on the deck and Caitlin made it out within a couple minutes, not 10. Caitlin intended to get everyone's orders on the deck before returning inside as that is the most time efficient way to work. I am sorry she approached the first table that closest to the door she came out rather than asking who was sat first. She told me that she did apologize three time to you and I believe her. She is a little meek sometimes and you may not have understood her. I don't think anyone on the deck was laughing at you. People do joke a bit to relieve a stressful situation as when someone is upset and leaves abruptly. When I gave you a menu I thought everything was good for you. I wish I had taken your order to get things started for you, but I was distracted by our landscaper and project I needed to complete that afternoon. If there is anyway I can make things right for you, please contact Scott at the pub.

Beautiful exterior and interior, with lots of red stone (d'oh!), wooden tables, clean floor. Felt a lot like bars in Ireland or Britain but more spacious.Food is limited to sandwiches and a few apps, but ours were tasty.Nice beer selection (Stone Ruinator!). Guinness on tap. Cozy feel. Will be back.

Dropped in whilst staying in the area and wish we hadn’t. The house salad had been in the house for some time! Limp lettuce & dried tomatoes from being cut and left out too long. Poor quality food and definitely not a gastropub as billed - more like gastroenteritis!

Really the only sit-down restaurant near the airport, it offers a nice meal for a very reasonable price. Service was very prompt, friendly and attentive. There's a very nice salad bar available. They have dinner specials--2 for $24.99. There's an extensive menu, the food is tasty and portions are good. Lots of free parking is available.

Old Well Tavern

t's been 6 months or so since my last review of the Old Well Tavern. Once again they out did themselves. We started with fried mozzarella sticks. 8 or 10 soft tasty pieces inside of a crisp shell served with tomato sauce/salsa dip. I opted for a cup of their turkey soup. If you like soup, a bowl of this would be a sufficient meal. It was outstanding. For our main courses : my wife had the chicken Cobb salad and had to bring home close to 1/2 of it. I had the full rack of ribs served with baked beans, cole slaw and cornbread, I also doggy bagged 1/2 of my dinner. The portions are that generous. One or both of the owners is usually on site. They are both very personable and enthusiastic about what they do. Service was excellent as always. If you haven't tried The Old Well you really are missing out on one of the better providers of BBQ and pub style food in the area. We look forward to our next visit

Sat at the beautiful bar and the bartender provided exceptional service. Friendly, offering samples, responsive to our concerns. Great tap menu. Food menu was great but food itself was meh...my husband's taco came without the promised pick de Gallo, which the bartender immediately provided. She could not fix the obvious fact that his meal had sat too long under a light. My fish was overcooked. We saw at least 1 other meal go back to the kitchen during our short visit. Beautiful place, great service. .but the kitchen needs workHi BeautifulVox, Thank you for the great review on our service and atmosphere. We have eaten at Cracker Barrel Pub in Tariffville, Connecticut many times and have always enjoyed it. Most recently we ate there on Tuesday, August 8th. We had hamburgers with fries, which were delicious. Both the CB Classic and Maple Smokehouse Burgers were great!! The service was very good and the atmosphere relaxing. We were also able to use a LivingSocial coupon, which made it a good value for the money. Overall the restaurant is an excellent place for hamburgers and fries, as well as their specials. We have been going back to this restaurant for over the past 30 years and like eating there.
