Sunday evening 29th July and we visted here for a drink as part of a trip down memory lane, had spend many holidays in the area in my youth. The building has been through a vast expansion, over the years, including a function room, it certainly was not the small country pub that I remembered. It was rather busy, there were a lot of holidaymakers enjoying themselves, there are a number of caravan parks near by and this is the only pub in the locality. We found a table and seating in a corner of the pub, slightly quieter there and less crowded than in the main area. Beer prices were a bit cheaper here than in Dublin, so good to know not a tourist rip off place. We finished our drinks, trip down memory lane completed and we left just as the live music started, my poor ears.
Had a beautiful lunch here Aug 31st with the Hubby Our Daughter and Grandson and everything was perfectly cooked plated and presented. Chicken Caeser Salad, Homemade Bunburger Homemade Chips with Onion Rings and Beautiful Hot Fruit Scones with Cream and Jam and fresh fruit. Play area for my 10 month old Grandson who was kept happy with the toys there and service was class couldnt have asked for more. Will be back again to try different food as it was mouth watering that day. Mmmm thanks guys xx

Dropped in here at 8.28pm with 2 minutes service left and fair play to the kitchen but they made some super food for us. I had the goujons which were amazing and came with a nice mustardy mayonaisse and a salad bowl. Plentiful serving as well. OH went for the tomato and mozzarella salad which again was a generous serving - only criticism was that it contained too much rocket but otherwise a very good effort - fresh mozzarella, tender tomato and large olives, very impressed with service as well - will be back again.

The food was OK, and the service was acceptable, considering that we were seated outside. The restaurant/pub was also in a nice, quiet location.

Great choice of food and plenty of it. All the 'usuals' available. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking across the road. Great place to experience 'local' friendly people. ENJOY!

Welcome to The Strand Cahore a residential award winning licensed Bar & Restaurant which has been run as a family business since 1939 by The Horganâs and has now been sold and carefully handed over to the new family of The Hanleyâs in January 2018. We off
This place has had a complete transformation, the location was always ideal - perched on the top of a hill looking out over the sea, outdoor tables and huge windows we were delighted to hear they had started to serve food. The problem is they only serve food sometimes. This was not clear on their website. We arrived on a night when the kitchen was closed but fresh pizzaâs were available. There is nothing else nearby so we were stuck, a 50 minute wait for pizza and another 15 minute wait at the end to try and pay really soured what should be an excellent venue. The staff are very friendly but obviously not professional/experienced and everything seemed an ordeal at busy times we appreciate it might not be viable to open the kitchen 7 days a week but the website needs to make that clear. A nice pint of guinness though

The Tara Vale inhabits a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere for casual dining in a superb, recently-renovated setting. Whether it's our roomy stove accompanied Lounge for larger groups or in our cosy Bar where the heartiness of country life is abundant. We
Very average food, tables outside very dirty covered in cobwebs. Toilets disgustingly dirty, soaking wet floor very dangerous for myself as Iâm 38 weeks pregnant. Extremely rude bar man, no customer service skills what so ever. One younger waitress quite friendly other older one very rude practically slammed our food on the table. Served with a warm half filled milkshake. Overall very poor service and will not be back. embarrassed to have taken my family there who are visiting Ireland. Will never return or recommend.

For the best in gastro pub dining in the south east, a large selection of craft beer, good fun and great craic visit the newly refurbished Coach House in the heart of Gorey town. Boasting a large bar serving a new menu of gastro-style food downstairs by r
This bar / restaurant is doing the standard fare really really well. As a family of 4 we had starters, main courses and desserts and they were all excellent, not one bad dish. The sort of food they do here is similar to the other places in town but The Coach House is going one step up. Couple that with great service and reasonable prices and you can't go wrong

Visited these premises on several occasions for food while passing through Gorey, but tonight we decided we would not return. We both ordered fish and chips and when it came it looked appetising enough and its fair to say that we both ate what was on the plate,(we were hungry) however the fish was a very small portion and I think that for â¬15.95 this was very poor value for money. We don't want a huge plate of chips, we want the main item to be extremely tasty and good value, and unfortunately it wasn't really either. Very disappointing.
