In addition to the friendly servers and a welcoming atmosphere, there is a nice bar area with a large selection of beers and high tables along the walls. But this is not your normal pub grub menu. In addition to the regular wings and burgers, add stromboli, calzone, pizza, wraps, mussels and clams. They also have a dinner menu and a separate dinning room. Donât forget the daily specials and a happy hour. You will want to come back. I know we do.
Arrived in Absecon late one evening on a business trip and asked the hotel front desk clerk for recommendations for dinner. She suggested Hang Time and since it was right across the street from the hotel (although being NJ, I couldnât walk there due to the median barrier â of course, not make left turns nor pump my own gas!), so I drove there. It wasâ¦OK. The atmosphere and menu areâ¦OK. One room for the bar, another room with dining tables, but not overly inviting. Service was â¦OKâ¦but the bartender was more preoccupied with banter with her friends (off-work colleagues?) than in tending to her customers. My salad with chicken was pretty good, and the beer and wine list were good, as well.If youâre in the area, go for a meal, but not a memorable experience.

Not fancy at all, kind of dumpy in the dining area but good average food. A good bar crowd for the college age who can drink.

Bar and restaurant located on Motts Deep water access by boat, located in the Forsythe Wildlife Preserve - amazing views year round.
We were really looking forward to spending the afternoon on the water. Music sounded great as we approached. We overlooked the fact that the places looked like a junk yard. But as we walked up the stairs and saw the filthy windows, trash (a lot!) under the deck that had been there a while and then the cat feces in the top stair - enough was enough. I canât believe the health department hasnât checked this place out this season. Iâm no wilting lily - this place needed to be hosed down. They clearly walked out last season and just started up where they left off.

First time visit and from the outside I thought this place would be bigger but itâs not. Very casual, comfy interior. We were there having drinks and appetizers. The bartender usually worked the night shift and was unfamiliar with the specials but once everything was figured out she remained pleasant though slow in serving. So itâs dollar off well drinks and beer 12-6 along with appetizers running from $5 to $7 on a limited appetizer menu. I was very surprised they didnât have fried calamari so I opted for fried pickles and was pleasantly surprised! Others had onion rings and nachos and no one complained. We were there for 2 hours (and my friends can drink!) Our bar bill was $34. Happily surprised! They have no covered smoking area if you smoke and the other thing I thought odd was how dark the hallway was to the ladies room. Overall well enjoyed!

Title does not do it justice, as they have a nice menu; however, we've been there strictly for lunch. Have returned several times following photography trip visits to nearby Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I've had sandwiches a few of the times, and they've been excellent. Their homemade soups (various varieties I've tried) do not disappoint. The only thing I've had that I wasn't over the moon on was the Shepherd's Pie. It was okay, but I've had better (and I don't mean in the UK). Was kind of bland and lacked a cheese or other topping that would have set it off. I would not order that again. I only mention it because it's billed as a house specialty. I will definitely return for the things on the menu I enjoy, and I definitely recommend the place. Prices are reasonable and well worth what you get.

This is a nice little restaurant and bar right across from the new Hampton Inn on White Horse Pike. Good, varied menu covering the gambit from nice appetizers and good beer choices (including microbrews) to full-sized meals. I chose to follow the recommendation of others and get the chicken parmesan dinner and was REALLY happy with it. The sauce tasted really fresh with just a bit of sweetness that really made the meal. The meat was the perfect consistency and the pasta was fine (simple penne & nothing special), but would have preferred spaghetti noodles to feel more traditional. Came back the next night and had one of the flatbread pizzas with a couple of friends - this was excellent and served as a nice appetizer. Nice and light, very flavorful.Price is a wee bit high for some things ($15-16 for the chicken parm), but it was worth it.Definitely will be back again!

Stopped here since it is walking distance from the Marriott. Have been here before and have not been disapointed. Ordered fish and chips. Was the usual fare, a bit greasy, but came hot and tasty. The fries were good. You get a discount when you show the Marriott room key, a nice gesture. The service was quick and the waitress was sweet and very friendly, felt like family. Will go back.

Good stop when you're in Smithville, NJ. The grilled Swiss cheese and crabmeat was delicious. All of our meals were good (pulled pork, chicken wrap, soup...) and service was good! They serve a number of IPA's. It's casual dining and the prices were not bad either!
