Arrived around 5:30 on a Friday and had plenty of seating available. Left about an hour later and plenty seats remained available. Good fast service and lots of televisions. A good stop while traveling on the road.
The Sidetrax is the kind of bar you want to love. It is ancient and dark and delightful. But the service was sullen and nearly non existent, the food cold and uninspired and the parking...well beware...my truck was damaged by high curbs and dead ends in the parking lot.

4th July finds many small towns getting ready for the festivities many Restaurants are closed waiting for later in the day. We found Side track open and food was great. The establishment features great old pieces of history that lead to a fun environment of old and new. The wait staff was fun to visit with. Food was served cry fresh and quality was great. Try it-

Charred is a nice addition to the Galesburg restaurant scene. We recently visited and the atmosphere is comfortable and nice with a cleverly redecorated older building. We were greeted by Amy our server who has an absolute delight. The menu covers everything from steak and fish to sandwiches. We shared a flatbread which was excellent with a lite flakey crust. Amy made sure we were happy with every part of our experience. We will definitely be back, Give It A Try.

Jimmy's Pizza used to be in Wataga for many years until a tragic fire totally destroyed the business in 2017. The owners had planned on rebuiling on the original site, but they were unable to. This was very disappointing to their customers and themselves. They have now reopened in Galesburg, Illinois at 379 E. Tompkins St.Their hours are:Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11 am - 10 pmFriday and Saturday: 11 am - 11 pmClosed on Monday'sThe current place is three times the size as their old place in Wataga. Their kitchen alone here is half the total building of their old store. This is a much better place. Because of the bigger kitchen, they now are able to handle a larger crowd and the food gets to you quicker than before.Their pizza is along the lines of a thin crust (I personaly prefer a handtossed), but their pizza was not greasy as compared to the Pizza House thin crust pizza or the last pepporoni pizza that we had at the Galesburg Happy Joe's (that place is going down hill). We had ordered The Jimmy's Combo for our appetizer. It was $8.50. You got Mozzarella sticks, fried green beans, breaded dill pickles and taco bits. Everything was good. My only complaint was that for this price the portion size should've been double. No complaints on the taste of the combo however. I'll probably order it again. For our pizza we had ordered (or so we thought) was half ham and half supreme. We received have pepporoni and half supreme. Maybe the wife had ordered the pepporoni, we were unsure, but it was fine as we usually order a pepporoni when ordering pizza. The pizza was good. Again, I prefer a handtossed crust. Perhaps one day they'll make one. The toppings were good. Their pizza is better than the Pizza House. I have not tried their other dishes here. The decor is antique era. They have some old bicycles hanging on the wall, old board games, musical instruments. Their pizza menu is on old 33 vinyl records just as their menu was at the old place. They also have a updated menu as well wish has their sandwhiches and other food on it. They have a full bar with Bud Light, Miller Lite, Blue Moon and an IPA on tap. Other variety are in bottles. Parking is along the street. The business next door used to let them use their parking lot, but they got tired of cleaning it up so they no longer let people park there after hours. You WILL BE TOWED if you park there the sign says. All in all, the new place is much better than the old. We will probably be back again. I'm curious as to what their burgers taste like.

Fat Fish is probably my favorite place to eat in Galesburg. The food is amazing--think bar food, but gourmet and innovative. I'm vegetarian, and usually have trouble finding good food at bars, but Fat Fish has many delicious options. My favorite is the pimento grilled cheese. Besides the awesome food, they have a wide selection of craft beers. Try the flight and taste four beers before committing to a pint.

We met some relatives just after Christmas for a nite out. PZ's was chosen for the dinner. We were quite surprised at the friendliness of the staff, not like some of the chain restaurants, more of a home town feel. My wife and I both ordered the Prime Rib special for the night. Our plates was covered with our servings, the baked potato and green beans were served on a separate plate. It was tender and seasoned just right. The server came by on several occasions to check on us for any additional items or more to drink. Our relatives ordered catfish and fried chicken, both commented how good their meal was also. PZ's is definitely on our list of places to go eat.

Right on the main road and a popular locals place. No sweet tea (got a add your own sugar). Food was great. They have fried potato chips as well as French fries, both were great. Its a pub style restaurant and families are welcome. Great server and I would definitely go back for drinks later.

First time here. Good service and good drinks with some cheaper options on tap. Big crowd on a Saturday night, but we really didn't have to wait too long. This is a large pub with exposed brick walls. I would give our burgers a B+, and the fried portabello strips and A. A pitcher of Sapporo was very cheap. Decent band in an adjacent room. We liked it and would return.

We were certainly pleased we stopped here. It's in a historic former fire station so it's a fun environment. The menu is diverse, but we dined on very tasty burgers. The drinks were unique since it's a microbrewery....they were good beers. Other drinks are available.
