Researching eating options in Erie, I found the same things on menus over and over again. I read about Sneaky Petes and was intrigued. Four of us at a family get together decided to go...a little unsure. The minute we walked in that door, I felt it was going to be interesting. We liked the atmosphere right away and appreciated the food/drinks choices. We shared the Spanish board, salads, a tasty flat bread dish AND decadent dessert. It was fun, tasty and the kind of food that allows and, in fact, encourages you to socialize. The drinks menu was really fun and the wait staff friendly and professional. I think it must be difficult to curate new menus and I applaud the owner/chef for what they are working to achieve. We remarked as we walked out that we all felt we just had a special experience and actually felt HAPPY!Thanks for the kind words. We strive each and every day to provide Creative Cocktails and Fantastic Food. Does our hearts well when our guests have a positive experience. We look forward to seeing you again on your return visit. Thanks!

We were staying in Meadville and had some time to kill so we drove up to Erie to see the lake and found this place. There was a free concert that evening next door so it was getting very busy and all of tables must have been reserved because we ask for a table outside and they did not have anything but no one was out there. So we settled in at the bar and had some local craft brews and some appetizers. Everything was good, the bartender was pretty busy but took good care of us. The food we had was good, if we are ever back in town we will stop here again. Good solid stop worth trying.

Irish pub during St Patrick's weekend! A great atmosphere; good music, intimate feel, and plenty of games to entertain the wait for food. And the wait is indeed worth it...I ordered la cochinita tacos. Although not filled like a traditional taco, this was packed with flavor. Minimal in size, but the meat was tender and juicy. I would recommend this! My daughter tried the Lavery burger, which was cooked to perfection and piled with caramelized onions, an interesting beer cheese, and sauce. She loved this! the food was great...however, the wait staff was not. I do take into consideration it was very busy, however we were not ever acknowledged at the table. Ordering is done at the bar only, which would have been nice to know before our 20 minute wait at the table. No menus were on the table so upon asking for those at the bar, three of us shared the one we were provided. We ordered then at the bar and told the kitchen was "backed up". Understandably, again due to the holiday celebrations. The food came, minus our appetizer, plus an extra burger. The burger was given to it's rightful owner elsewhere and our appetizer later arrived after we'd finished our meal. Nobody came to offer napkins, beverage refills, or inquire to the enjoyment of the meal itself. Maybe it's the procedure of this establishment, but I personally like the interaction and table-side service. Upon checkout, a bill was placed on the bar in front of me with no verbal interaction. I paid it and left, again without a verbal exchange. Just seemed a bit cold and distant. So much for the engaging of personal contact...but perhaps I expected too much?!?!?!

This place is actually a 'gastropub' more than a restaurant, so this review will discuss the dining portion of our most recent visit. To begin, it is best to visit here when the outside temperatures are not too hot, because the air conditioning is spotty and the place gets quite warm. It opens at 4:00 p.m. so this is a place you would choose to grab a bite after work rather than a lunch stop. The menu has grown over the spring and summer months, and the choices are better than ever. There's something on the menu to satisfy every appetite. I had their signature burger and my wife had the club sandwich and both were excellent. They were both served with shoestring fries that come in three different variations: plain, parmesan and cajun. The main thing holding this place back is the interior design and look. It needs to be improved and upgraded to provide guests with a more comfortable setting. But, in terms of food quantity and quality, combined with fair pricing and an impressive list of beers, Jekyll & Hyde's is worth a visit if you're looking for cheap eats downtown.

Been here several times, and Public House provides consistent quality along with very good service. The selection of menu items is good, but not great. And, the brews available offer something for everyone, though sometimes they switch things up and you cannot the beer you intended. But, that's true of most places like this.At our recent visit my wife wanted to get a margarita, but the bar here could not make one because they don't have a blender. Here's a suggestion ... buy one. But, she substituted another drink for it and said it was very good. The food we ordered was served hot and delicious, but the pizza would be better if a slightly thicker crust was used. Both indoor and outside seating is available which is a nice option. Overall, Public House is a good stop if you're looking for a bite to eat while enjoying your favorite brew, all in a very nice setting.

Enjoyed everything about this place. Frank was particularly splendid!! The crab cake sliders prepared specifically for us were the bomb! Should be on the menu! On our way to the theater and stopped, it was a great choice and we shall return. Tell your friends and ask for Frank. Kudos to the chef!

When we entered the Brewerie at 5pm on a Saturday nite all the tables were empty. Thought " oh, oh." By 7 it was filling a little mostly with families. Union Station is the beautiful railroad station that was bustling in the 50's and 60's with the glamour of train travel. Sadly no more. What we soon discovered was that our server Caitlynn 3 was the best part of our visit. She was attentive, offering us suggestions and samples of the huge selection of craft beers. That's the next thing we discovered: go to the Brewerie for the craft beers, not for the food. Our wives ordered salads which they said were good. The one with steak added ( there was no steak add on the menu but Caitlynn did that for us ) looked good. My friend and I both ordered fish and chips. I'm really sorry but the breaded cod was, well, awful. The best part of my meal was the sweet potato fries which were excellent. If I returned I would order appetizers and beer and pass over the entrees and enjoy the history of an era long ago passed by.

We stopped in for dinner during a downtown Erie event. Even though the restaurant was crowded, we were seated within minutes. My wife ordered a pesto flatbread which was delicious and I enjoyed the All American Burger on a brioche roll. The food really was very good. An interesting sidebar: the manager came to our table, on this very busy evening, and spoke with us for several minutes. Our server, on the other hand, said little to nothing to us.
