Great place for lunch, lovely atmosphere . Made very welcome by the staff. The has been some poor reviews, but I have found the food very good and great value to. Children meals are great to.
Bright airy modern pub, café-bar, restaurant & beer garden serving traditional and modern Scottish cuisine. Wide range of drinks including real ale, craft beers, wines, gins & whisky. Vegetarian & vegan options. Wheelchair accessible ground floor.
It was the only place open on Dunoon high street on a Sunday at midday so we didnt have much choice. Bright & cheery inside, friendly young staff, a sort of view over The Clyde and a free jukebox - though that may be because the staff had it set to free play before we walked in, given we were the first customers of the day. An encouraging start.I so wanted this to be good but it was average at best. 3 adults and a child were we. We ordered 2 cheese burgers from the special burger deals menu (or so we thought), a tuna melt panini and a cheese and pickle jacket. The food took a while to arrive, however when it did we were amazed at the burgers - huge things with piles of chips and onion rings, coleslaw etc they looked amazing. Sadly they brought a panini with cheese and pickle, not the jacket we ordered and the other panini. We were by now in a rush so we went with the incorrect panini. Sadly it wasnt great and daughter reported that her tuna melt panini was nowhere near as good as the one that daddy makes her. The burgers despite looking good were tough and dry, though the onion rings were the best we had ever had!So an underwhelming eating experience, compounded by the bill. They had actually given us their special burger off the main menu, which cost way more than the ones we had wanted. We hadnt realised that there were other burgers. As they had given us a burger specials menu when we sat down they really should have clarified at the time we ordered. They also charged us for the jacket we ordered instead of the panini we got, which was cheeky as the jacket cost more and when you bring a diner the wrong thing you really shouldnt charge them for it at all.We were in a big rush at this point so I hadnt the luxury of arguing any of this. Even without the billing issues we wouldnt return as the standard of food doesnt warrant it.Thank you for your feedback. Iâm sorry your order was incorrect, if youâd let us know we would have changed it, however we have also addressed an issue in the kitchen with size of text printed on the order tickets to make it easier for the chefs to read; that change happened in this past week so we hope this will improve order accuracy. We also agree having two types of burgers is confusing. The type you were served from the restaurant menu was lower cost than the bar menu variant with all the options it came with so did represent a lower charge overall, nevertheless it is confusing and also customer feedback about the bar burger which was made to a different recipe was excellent so weâve already changed to the bar burger for all types of burger, again that change happened just a few days ago when we did make some menu and service changes. Thanks for the feedback, it confirms the changes we made in the last few days were worthwhile.

A well appointed local bar with a small team of staff and plenty regulars. Split over two levels, the upper bar offers a nice place to chat , drink and eat. Downstairs we have out pool table and jukebox.
We go here every year when on holiday in Dunoon. Great little bar, tucked up a side street off the main shopping area of town. Fantastic menu, and the best soup ever! Cheap and cheerful, lovely friendly staff. Even though its a year between visits, the staff always remember us. Great place.

2 night midweek break with our daughters coming on 2nd night with grandson and baby granddaughter. Staff could not have been more helpful moving tables to accommodate us and considering space for the baby. Dining room is small and can't imagine what breakfast is like when hotel is full. Breakfast and dinner were delightful. Food well cooked and presented. Small but adequate menu with a choice for all. Our double room was small but adequate and the girls room upstairs was wonderful as a family room.

We are a family run local Bar / Restaurant selling local food and drink.
We visited The Holy Loch Inn following the good reviews on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. Whilst on holiday with our two dogs we were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch and, being a chilly day, eating outdoors was not an option! We were given a very warm welcome by the staff and there was something on the menu to suit all tastes. We chose the beef roast, which was lovely. Thanks to the staff who made us so welcome and cheered up an otherwise dreary day!

I enjoyed another lovely meal here but unfortunately was very disappointed with the behaviour displayed from the bar maid, seemed like she didnât want to be there and everything seemed too much hassle for her, has definitely put me off returning

This place is easily missable, and doesnât stand out as much as it should! Inside decor is classy and calm, beautiful fresh flowers and candles on the table booths and tables to choose from, gorgeous. Service from the lovely employees is very professional, kind and helpful! Food, oh my life, there are no words to describe how delicious it is! Home made chips, the fish, oh my just no words! This place is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to. Isnât badly priced either! Will definitely return whilst in the area :)
