While on holiday in Lincolnshire my Mum and I went to The Sloop Inn for a meal at lunchtime while out for a drive. We had previously eaten their in 2017. The food was plentiful, well cooked and all freshly cooked. The service was really good and the staff friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend anybody to go there, I am sure it would not be their only visit.

Come to The Green Dragon in Welton, a gorgeous country pub and hotel steeped in history. Set in a sensitively refurbished 17th Century coaching inn said to have been a favourite haunt of highwayman Dick Turpin, our pub combines character and charm with mo
We hadnât been to the Green Dragon for some time but visited again today for lunch.i really like ambiance of the pub with its traditional English country pub look. We were served throughout by Evie who was friendly efficient and fun.We both had Fish and Chips off the main menu and our grandson had fish fingers and chips. The meals were served in good time and we were all pleased with both the presentation and quality of our meals. A great place which we shall revisit.Bridkid72, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed everything about your visit and will pass your feedback back to Evie who will really appreciate it. We just can't help but wonder what we could have done to get that extra star? Kind regardsAmy

Traditional village country pub serving classic pub food. Set on the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds Way Re-opened 29th September 2017 after a change of ownership and compete refurbishment
I booked online but did not receive a confirmation. That was really an indication of how things would turn out. The staff were totally disinterested. We had to go to the bar to ask the waitress to come for our order, take our drinks order and find out where our coffees were. The food took over forty five minutes to arrive. It was passable but no more. For what we got it is not good value for money. When someone asks for a burger costing £11:50 to be cooked rare and it arrives incinerated that was the last straw.Needless to say we will not be returning.

We ordered drinks and was ready to order food, we then got informed that there was going to be a half hour wait. We was waiting over this waiting time. Food then came and we was all unhappy. When informed the staff they were rude and the attitude we received was not good. We were offered a free pudding but We would rather not incase there was a very long wait again. Would not be going again. My apologies the poor experience you encountered this afternoon. As you can see from previous customers reviews this is not the standard of food and service we usually offer. I would like the opportunity to speak to you in person regarding your experience as I was not made aware of any quality of food issues at the time. If you would like to speak to me in person then please feel free to contact me on 01482 632 511 or email [email protected]

We are dedicated to offering great food, great drink and great service in a relaxed informal setting.
1st few times was really good. Went last night. Not so good. Average service. Going waiter failed to clear the starters cutlery. Failed to give my wife a steak knife. Failed to give cutlery for desert. Nice enough bloke. Just not focused. Steaks ran out. Food we had was nice enough. 3 decent hand pull beers. Keep your eye on the ball guys. Thanks for your review. Sorry we failed to maintain expected standards on this occasion. We get great feedback regarding our service team so hopefully this was a one off. Have you been back since? If so hopefully it was a better experience for you.

Friend and I had 2 rooms for a 2 night stay over Easter whilst visiting friends in Newport. Lovely well appointed en suite rooms, very comfy bed! Lots teas, coffees and biccies in rooms! Nice hot power shower. Lovely hosts very accommodating - let us choose our breakfast times! Breakfast itself was superb - basically anything you want and all cooked fresh to order.I'd def stay again and the meals looked fab that we saw served. 5 STARS!

Pub-restaurant offering fabulous home made British cuisine in a cosy rural pub. Great outdoor space, perfect for outside dining. Dogs welcome in the bar (if they're good!). Booking essential
After a fantastic morning, a real let down! Group of us stopped for lunch, all ordering different meals! Sadly no one was impressed! We all had various sandwiches. Food was not cooked as ordered, bread was toasted to hide the non existing freshness! Quality was awful and really did not enjoy it one bit! The only person happy was the dog! Real shame, will not return for food, only a drink! Such a shame as staff seemed friendly. Seemed silly to complain, instead left feeling sad.
