A traditional 400 year old country pub with 3 wood burners and an impressive inglnook fireplace. Offering a choice of 6 real ales and 14 local ciders we are proud to be the winners of Hereford CAMRA cider pub of the year 2015 and 2017 as well as awards fo
This very good pub is NOT in Worcester, or nearby. Its 15 miles away. There is only one pub listed for Bishops Frome. Probably fine if you like SKY TV and Karioke (I dont). The Green Dragon has neither of these 'attractions'. Welcoming staff, great logfires, excellent beer, and good food combine to make for a great experience.

Whilst in Worcestershire we had Sunday lunch here.Portions sizes were excellentService very good only minor criticism is that with the 3 staff on duty everything could be brought to the table in one go including sauces, gravy etcWell worth a visit

Thanks for checking us out... Important to stress we are a pub predominately catering for our fishermen customers. Yet because the food is so good a lot of locals enjoy it too... totally understand why. Booking is strongly advised in the evening during su
This establishment needs to get the basics right first with seating .You can't expect 2 people to sit in a corner (smaller than a broom cupboard ) and eat Sunday lunch of a coffee table.Furnishings a bit drab..in need of redecorating/recarpeting in older parts of the place. No amount of old character can describe the neglect of some of the older parts of this building .My barn would provide a better ambience for dining.Lots of large groups....works better for them I expect with the pile it high carvery. Higgedly higgledy nature of layout makes it very difficult for staff to work .Never againHello Julie - Hope you're having a great Monday. This is a very unusual review with some quite hurtful comments here. Comes across as rant. I maybe wrong. But nevertheless I'll answer...I have today left a message on your answer phone to discuss so left a message. My understanding was you were offered an alternative table more than once by patient staff, but you refused, even though you didn't like the table allocated in the restaurant. Later you acknowledged that the alternative table offered was actually quite nice when you were leaving. For me the restaurant is lovely, and typical old Herefordshire. Its a shame you don't like it. Really did you expect a modern style building? Drab it is not. Old yes. My staff love working here. Hence why they've been here so long. They disagree that its difficult to work from. That's a bit of an odd comment too. Its two rooms at the end of the day. "Pile it high carvery".... its a carvery as you knew fully well before arriving. Carvery has a theme to enjoy good food. Customers are within their rights to put what they like on their plate within reason.Sounds like you prefer more al la carte table service lunches, so why you've chosen a carvery is a mystery. As I say I have tried to call as its such an unusual review.Jonathan Bozward 01568760256

First visit for me as I accompanied other family members to this country inn.Fabulous food - the beef was delicious and the vegetable selection was excellent. My partner had the belly pork which was equally good. The summer berry pudding with sorbet was also a real treat.Wye Valley ales were as good as usual (Butty Bach and IPA). Fun friendly service from the landlord added to a very enjoyable afternoon. Weâll be back soon!

Just happened across this pub near Bromyard. It's in a beautiful setting with fantastic gardens, but more importantly the service and food were first class! I have a small appetite so had 2 starters (summer vegetable soup, bread, and crab and lime fishcake..all homemade). My hubby had prawn cocktail and then steak and ale pie (again homemade), with veg and hand cut chips (delicious). We finished with lemon posset, which was devine! Moreover, my hubby said the cider was the best he'd ever had! Needless to say we have rebooked for Sunday lunch!!!So pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit. Look forward to seeing you again when you are visiting Bromyard.

We went in here for a drink. We had had a cooked breakfast and were eating later. My husband came back with the beer and commented on how great is the fish and chips looked and it was only £5.50 on a Friday. We decided to share one, it was excellent, the chef couldn't have been more helpful, bringing water for the dogs, a separate plate with salad and 2 lots of cutlery. The beef was fab and well kept. Wish we lived nearer.

The Royal oak in Bromyard is set in beautiful gardens, the food is reasonably priced, well presented and very nice. Well worth a visit.
Have visited this pub on many occasions over the last 7years, and have always had a very warm welcome, the food is 5 star, I personally have tried everything on the menu and have loved every single dish, my partner on the other hand cannot get past the steak and ale pie which he says is the best hes ever had and although hes often tempted to have another choice when the time comes to order it's the steak and ale pie for him lol. The service is always great and staff always extremely helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend this pub to anyoneNice of you to take the time to comment, most are driven to leave a review for negative reasons, it's always rewarding to have the balance redressed. Thank You,Phil, Alex & the team.

I visit this pub once or twice a year and found it to be mainly welcoming. This time I came with family and friends. Food was very good and generously proportioned. Choice of drinks, particularly beer, was limited though. Interior layout has been changed but I preferred the old layout. Still worth a visit though.

It seems getting hot food after 2pm in between Worcester and Hereford is somewhat of a problem! We finally stumbled upon this great pub and almost cheered at the 'Yes, we do hot food!" (YAY!)The food is all homecooked, and is gorgeous. Plenty of traditional meals, Indian food and also light bites such as nachos and hot dogs. The service is lovely. The staff are really friendly. And the syrup sponge just melts in your mouth!Tiny grumble; The staff changed over during our visit and when we went to settle the bill, there was no record of our order. We literally had to list everything we have had. We didnt particularly mind, but then we are honest people. We could have had a very cheap meal :)

A family-owned pub, cafe and restaurant in the charming Herefordshire village of Wellington. We offer a wide selection of spirits, lagers and speciality local ales and ciders, and we offer an excellent selection of fresh, local, high-quality food.
We are here for our anniversary and everything was very good. Menu is not âvastâ but this is a good sign in my opinion. A select amount of food cooked well. A great pub in a rural setting. The specials board has a number of grills on it based on the best selection from the butcher. I had the 16oz tomahawk and it was the best steak I have ever had. We are lucky enough to live in the village and ate here just after the pub reopened and the meal was very average, pleased to say now they are over the teething problems this is a great choice for a lovely meal that is not in a big chain.
