Newly opened this year, Amendment 21 is an excellent addition to it's parent restaurant, Europa. It has a speakeasy atmosphere and was fun to be in. Service was prompt and friendly. We noticed food came out of the shared kitchen with Europa, so we knew it would be good. The menu reminds us of a tapas menu - lots to taste. We started with potato skins. Literally, the peeled skins of potatoes, lightly seasoned and flash fried. OMG were these fabulous!! Did I mention the bacon alioli dipping sauce? Mmmmm. Then the entrees - Pork-cornbread skillet and chicken jerk tacos. The skillet contained homemade cornbread on the bottom, topped with macaroni & cheese, then BBQ pulled port on top. It was mouth-watering! The chicken jerk tacos were well seasoned and melted in your mouth as well. A definite great meal! We'll go again!

First visit to River Rock. Great location right on the water with inside and outside seating. Two bars so plenty of seating. Many, many televisions to watch all sports. While the Happy Hour appetizers seemed appealing, I chose the Mahi Mahi from the regular menu. The entrees come with soup or salad so I chose the New England Clam Chowder which was delicious. The Mahi Mahi came covered in artichokes, tomatoes, and olives. Choice of two sides so I went with rice and spinach. The Mahi Mahi was cooked just right and the artichokes were a great topping. Plus the bartenders were friendly and helpful even though I am not a regular. Overall, very happy with the food and the water view. Will stop in again some time when passing through.

We grabbed a late night bite on a rainy Saturday. It was so late, almost closing for the kitchen, that the place was empty. There might have been 15 people at the bar. Iâm sure the weather kept folks away. The bar area is still classic & lovely but the TLC & attention to detail seems to be missing. The place seemed worn & dreary. Iâm sure the plumbing still hasnât been upgraded; the ladies room off the bar was still a shambles. I enjoyed my baked brie and my husband liked his cheeseburger but all in all I felt let down. For years Rodâs had been one of my favorite âgo toâ places. Now it lost that panache. We'll still go so my husband can have a Guinness but we will probably not stay long,

I moved to Maryland years ago but whenever I visit my Mom in Lavallette I always try to stop in at the Ark. Been going there for as long as I can remember (finished their 40-40 beer club list a long time ago) and I've never had a bad meal, no matter what I order (usually seafood, though I really like their hot wings as well). The place was hopping, even on a Saturday night in February(!) but we were seated quickly and served just as fast (without feeling rushed). Very diverse menu but they seem to do everything well. If I still lived close by I'm sure I'd go there enough that they would know me by name very soon (it really has that great "local hangout" kind of feel).David, thank you so much for your kind words!! We really appreciate it! Glad you continue to enjoy us, & weâll see you soon!

Thank you Erin for your friendly smile and terrific service. This is not a fancy place by any means. We sat outdoors on a beautiful afternoon with the best view anyone could ask for. We had a cold beer and terrific fish and chips. Can't ask for anything better than that!

We keep going but the same ol'. Atmosphere great, food great, service not so much.We sat at the bar and were ignored all night. Had to keep asking the guy on the grill for even the basics like silverware. I would ask my bar neighbors for a second opinion but their glasses were empty too.-G

Four of us came here for lunch on a Friday. For appyâs we shared the shrimp cocktail and drunken clams. The shrimp were good, but the accompanying red sauce needed help. It needed to be spiced up with horseradish or hot sauce. The clams were very salty. Two of us ordered fish and chips, and two of us got the fish taco lunch special. The fish and chips were delicious - perfectly fried. It was quite a large portion. The accompanying fries were thick and wonderful. The fish tacos were in need of more fish. There were two to an order. Go with the fish and chips. Our server, Kennedy, was very pleasant and helpful.

Use to be one of our favorite restaurants. We moved out of the area and had a chance to return. My wife ordered the sizzling steak sandwich, her favorite. No longer. Very disappointed in the presentation. The steak should be over toast points. Her sandwich came out with the bread on the side with the steak directly on the hot plate. The steak cooked immediately from rare to well done. The people at the next table order the same thing and it was prepared correctly. The quality control is definitely lacking in the kitchen.

2 couples. Cocktails first, an interesting cocktail menu and they were good. The dining room was very loud, there seems to be nothing to absorb sound. There's a very nice private room off of the dining room, minimum to get the room is $1000, which would not be difficult to achieve quickly. We had 2 appetizers, the shrimp cocktail, which was tasty and the baked oysters which were described as being like Oysters Rockefeller. They were shucked oysters with a spinach leaf on it and lemon zest then baked. Lackluster. My husband and I shared a bone in rib eye steak. The server was annoying because we asked for it to be cut in the kitchen, she told us only if we ordered a Tomahawk (my only complaint about the service.) Ultimately it was cut for us . The steak was good but it's served with a sweetish sauce that I found offensive and it ruined the steak for me. We got 4 sides, corn (good, it was frozen, for the price it should be fresh), Tavern Potatoes (too spicy for me, should have known, they have cherry peppers), spinach (I liked it, it was a bit smoky), and mashed potatoes (delicious). My friend had a filet and ordered au poive on the side, the steak was sitting in the nasty sauce, even though she ordered a sauce. She got a lobster tail and it was served with no butter. The last diner had a strip steak and was not found of the sauce either. They have a nice menu and I was excited because I love a good steak house but it's doubtful I will return. The night before I was served a mediocre meal at their sister restaurant, Waypoint 222. Please note I chose neither, both nights we were with friends for their celebrations.

We were looking for a casual 'burger' type place and were told about Frankie's. Very disappointing. The service was fine, but the food did not taste good. I ordered French Onion soup and it tasted as if someone poured water in a cup; then hovered an onion over the water. I tasted better burgers at McDonald's. No redeeming value to this place.
