We visited the mall Smitty's lication for supper on a Wednesday night. The host and servers level of customer service is pretty low. We were met at the front door and slowly brought to a table for 4. (We were 5 - 3 kids and 2 adults). We were asked if we wanted to pull over the table we could. When the server came over, she asked if she could start us off with drinks or milkshakes. Wrong greeting to a family with 3 kids under 10. Upwelling may increase your sales, but in this case you just really ticked off parents who were trying to keep the kids in line without now arguing over milkshakes with supper.Server didn't know the special, what the soup was, side options or what came with one of the main meal items. It was all just a frustrating ordeal. Meals were ok. Portions were standard. Prices average I guess. Appreciate the variety on the menu, but wouldn't recommend the location simply for the lack of customer service.

When shopping and attending appointments in Brandon, we commonly go to East Side Mario's on 18th beside the Shopper's Mall. It's convenient, offers tasty menu choices at reasonable prices and is brand new this year. It's enjoyable having lunch with my husband in a clean, attractive venue where the furnishings and decor is new. Service is also good and served promptly if you mention you have limited time etc. Our favourites -- the personal pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto as well as the threesome combo: unlimited mini hot loaves, choice of soup (Italian wedding soup is our fave) and a huge bowl of salad. Never disappointed!!

Service was the best. My husband and I arrived late. Our server was at our table super fast. Made excellent menu suggestions. Server full of life and smiles. Watched us to provide excellent service but never hovered over us. Had flatbread cheese pizza added chicken. Yummy! Chicken tenders plentiful and meaty. All terrific!

Kicked up Casual Dining.
After finding this spot on Trip Adviser, we decided to try this spot on the way back to Ontario. Our server Tiffany was not only friendly but also knew the menu well and made excellent recommendations. It is great pub style food and it was wing night so that is one of the things they had.yummy. The meal was topped off with dessert which was a deep fried Mars bar with ice cream. Again.....decadent.Thank you so much for the great review! Iâm so happy to hear you enjoyed Tiffanyâs recommendations and had a good time at our restaurant! Thank you for stopping in on your trip!

Having travelled across western canada crisscrossing every province and major city over the last 2 months we have come to rely on Brown's for quality, service and friendliness.Business lunches and dinners.alaays made successful in part by insisting on sealing a deal at Brown's. 17 meals and this last one here in Brandon to meet up with my wife and partner.Friendly greeting, done right.Seating as we wished to be comfortable and private, done right, kudoos.Drinks, orders, great. But the food this time. Fettuccini sauce curdled on the pasta instead of nice and silky, so sad. Chicken breast partly dried out, so disappointed.Steak frites rare, a knuckle of beef so tough and ranging from well to medium to barely rare, not expected.Frites perfect as always. Grilled onions and mushrooms were barely warm.By the time the house frlont came by to check on us, we were beyond finished. And to finally refresh our water and cokes while delivering our cheque. Please reload cause I need to be able to have a go to place when meeting in Brandon.

Come and sit a spell in our sunny cafe. Open 7 days a week. Our recommendation for lunch is a lovely piece of quiche with one of our fresh salads. The wine and cheese salad, fresh greens with goat cheese, grapes, pecans and our famous balsamic vinaigrette
My sister & I were heading back to Regina from Winnipeg & we decided we'd stop in Brandon for lunch & gas.I did a Google search for food near me & the name Lady of the Lake caught my attention.Very cute place nestled off the main road but still easy to find. There are 3 business connected - one for outdoorsy types (biking, trails, running, etc.), a shop with unique items & then the cafe.We decided to eat first as the cafe was only open until 4. Service was great - staff were very friendly. The menu had many choices - it was hard to decide. We both ended up with wraps that came with fries (I had them & they were homemade & cut into smaller wedges covered in herbs - delicious), soup (my sister had the Aztec soup & said it was also delicious) or salad. The portions were large - we almost could have shared one. We both had the spiced chai apple cider, non-alcohol version - very good! No room for dessert which was too bad because they looked amazing. After lunch we headed to the shop - they were open until 6. So many cool items. Lots of older/antique furniture & neat home decor (pictures, pillows, candles, etc.). Clothing, purses, jewelry, glassware, decorative plates, pottery, mixes for dips, locally made jams, bbq sauce, unique gifts, etc. Lots to see there. We didn't buy anything as most of the items we liked would not have fit in the car (they probably had shipping but we never asked). I would definitely recommend making a stop here if you are anywhere near Brandon. I know I will stop by again the next time I go this way!Hi Debi,We are so glad you decided to stop for lunch! Thanks for taking the time to look us up and give us a try! We appreciate you writing this review so other travelers may find us as well. Next time you are through, we'd love to buy you a dessert. Please stop by the shop counter on your way to lunch (or try a Friday dinner!) and pick up your free dessert coupon. Thanks again! Hope to see you soon.
