We visited Colerne (after discovering my ancestors hailed from there) and happened upon this ancient pub and decided to stop for lunch. Wow! The meals we had were amazing ! At just £5 each we expected dinky little portions - instead we were served mountains of delicious, hot, proper home cooked food ! Absolutely incredible value for money. My portion of curry was delicious and surely big enough to feed two ! The service was lovely, warm and welcoming. Thank you Fox and Hounds - great hospitality! We will be back !

Modern British cuisine in a relaxed friendly atmosphere with a great selection of craft ales, wine and cocktails. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday 12-6.
Been here a few times and am always pleased with the attitude and service from the staff. They always seem so genuine and caring which I love. Spotted some great control over beggars also, polite yet firm in removing not one but 4 separate "undesirables" will return with friends. MBW x

After being closed for over a year The Pear Tree Inn has been carefully restored as a farmhouse kitchen with bar & rooms. It has a relaxed & rustic appeal to the locally sourced menu & reclaimed quirky decor. An old stone build farmhouse with rug strewn f
We enjoyed two nights stay at the Pear Tree, on arrival you feel yourself relax, get out your book and enjoy a G and T. Friendly staff who were always helpful and professional. The menu is great and gluten free (which I need) choices are extensive, with the kitchen happy to adapt to suit. Rooms are tastefully decorated and we really enjoyed having patio doors to a small private garden space next to the wooded area. Squirrels and bird life in abundance. But the room was smaller than expected, especially the bathroom where you have to think to shut the door to access the loo.

This pub is massive and seems to be full of small rooms, the menu was a little pricy but of top quality, I had the steak sandwich that was very nice.

Real Ales independently inspected by CAMRA and CM, plenty of gins and premium lager, there is always something good to drink. Try any beers before you buy! Good country cooking creates a great partner to our bar. The atmosphere is very cosy and very much
We went to the Flemish Weaver for an evening meal with family. The service was vey good, friendly, attentive and humorous servers make the experience very relaxed. The food was excellent with generous portions and good quality ingredients. We've eaten at the Weaver a few times now and it is always a good and enjoyable meal. It's my favourite place to eat in Corsham.

The Queens Head is a Traditional Country Pub. Whether you're out for a beer or two, hungry and want a diverse menu, like your music live and want a game of pool, looking for a bar with a real fire or a beer garden with stunning views that has a Boules pis
Stopped her for lunch on route to Bath for the weekend. The beer (half a pint) was good, the chicken sandwich excellent, but the chips were a little soggy, probably been reheated. I should of said something at the time but I guess I am typically English. So sorry to hear that your chips were not to your taste. They most certainly wouldn't have been reheated. We are in wedge mode at the moment with our potatoes which means skin on and a thicker chip (almost wedge). We will soon be changing over to a different variety of potato which means a different style again. Hope you will visit us again to try our next season of chips on the house. Cheers,The Queens Head Team

Hello, The Six Bells Inn has undergone a change of management! As of the 19th of September 2019 The Six Bells Inn is now managed by the Hilton family. As we inherited the pub without kitchen facilities we will not be able to serve food for the first few m
My wife and I recently stayed in Colerne and had a great night at the Six Bells Inn. While the food and ambiance were great, the highlight of our meal was Jimmy, our bartender/waiter. He made us feel so welcomed and his knowledge of the food and what was on tap showed off his expertise. We will be back to the Six Bells Inn and out of all the great reasons to return, Jimmy is top of the list.

The Longs Arms is a beautiful country pub serving cask ale and fresh seasonal food in a relaxed environment with warm and friendly service. We are located in the heart of the lovely village of South Wraxall â just 3 miles from the picturesque town of Brad
For my very lucky friends this is their local pub. I am insanely jealous as it is fantastic. I cannot fault it - service relaxed, casual and friendly, the food fresh, locally sourced and expertly prepared with great wines at reasonable prices all served in an old English country pub. The flavours are exceptional and the meals prepared with great attention to detail. The menu varies daily depending on what is in season and available so I guess one could go every week and enjoy something new. I don't need an excuse to visit my friends but if I did this would be it.

The Quarrymans Arms is a friendly family run local Country Pub, located in the village Box on the outskirts of the City of Bath. Renowned for high quality food and convivial surroundings, the team offer the best of welcomes, whether you're joining for a s
I have eaten here many times and it has never failed to impress. A little hidden gem but well worth searching out. Iâm not sure how people âhappen across itâ unless you are lost in a car or walking a strange route, but hey, everyone who finds it is in for a treat. First, food: a great selection and always fresh. My personal favourite are the Boxhill Bangers - either with mash and gravy or salad, chips and beans!Second, beer: a great local selection and always a guest beer or two. Finally, the view/setting: the big selling point! Either from the huge picture window in the main lounge or from the beer garden the pub enjoys unrivalled views of the valley across to Colerne on the other side. Highly recommend a visit!
