The Navigator sits in a prime position opposite Swanwick Marina on the scenic River Hamble just outside Southampton. The nautical-inspired interior extends into the 23 individually designed modern bedrooms, all equipped with free Wi-Fi, en-suite bathroom,
The pub was recommended by local friends. The decor is costal and inviting plus the food was good rather than outstanding. The staff were extremely inattentive. After replacing one of the main courses they did not offer a pudding menu until asked. The food took a very long time to be served. We then had to attract someoneâs attention for the bill. They seem totally oblivious to the customers.Thank you for taking your time to leave us a review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the food and will let Chef know. Apologies that your service was not up to our usual standard and I will pass on your feedback to the team, please do not think that this is our usual serving standard and I hope you give us another go in the future.

Cosy and jolly lovely! The Square Cow is the place to go for great quality home cooked food - food hugs all round.
Had a meal here last weekend - and a thoroughly lovely time. The Pie was excellent and the service really friendly. The staff all knew the area really well so we were able to get a tip off for other places to visit in the area. Highly recommended for a friendly and tasty meal!

This is a Traditional village pub, with a menu of great food, but an even better Gin menu!!! friendly helpful staff, quirky decor, child & dog friendly, why not pop in and see for yourself, and just say "HI"
Popped in for lunch, I wanted something substantial and home cooked, not junk food. I had the pie of the day which is made by the staff, and was very good. A little skimpy on the vegetables (brocoli, green beans, peas, and carrots) but still very nice and HOT. Nice surroundings too, if you don't mind the taxidermy of a fox!

We are a family run Free house in the lovely village of Swanmore. Our cosy pub has a great beer garden and open fire. We welcome dogs in our bar - where you can eat and drink - the restaurant is for humans only! All our food is freshly prepared from scrat
Were directed to this pub from another as they serve food all day and the kitchen was closed at the other one. Opted for their reasonably priced lunch menu and had a delicious main course followed by one of the best 'Eton Messes' i have tasted.

Cute pub with nice atmosphere with lit fireplaces etc to make it cosy. Main hostess was abit abrupt when we checked if we could use Tesco clubcard vouchers before we got seated. Table was very wobbly, we bodged it with napkins to make it better. Waiter must of been new or this just wasnt a good career choice for him as he was not good at all. Forgot our jug of water 4 times, we watched him give the table next to us dessert menus and asked what they wanted when they werent even half way through their mains...was awkward to watch. Also took half hour to pay our bill, we got up and paid at the bar in the end as we got fed up of being ignored. Menu was pretty varied, i had the chicken kiev basket and chocolate fudge cake for dessert and both were fab. Everyone enjoyed their food, just service that let it down.

I will start by saying the Bar and waitress staff are very good.I was here for food, unfortunately it's obvious the pies are bought in and must be microwaved, as the first pie crust was concrete.I declined an offer of a sharper knife from an observing cook (which isn't normal unless he expected a reaction). The second pie was microwaved less but not much meat in a gravy. It's all about people/staff and the kitchen may have problems.(If only somewhere supplied pies like those from Sweeny & Todds Reading)I'm sorry we've not been able to meet your expectations on this occasions, but please do give us a try again as this is not our usual standard We would like an opportunity to make this up to you. If you are willing, please reach out to us at 01489 784171 so we can work towards a resolution.

I chose Sausage and Mash @£11.95. Expensive for this dish, it was just 3 sausages on a small bed of mash potato and some gravy. Sadly no onions or vegetables The mash was tasteless and lumpy and the sausages were tasteless. I was told they were award winning Owtons sausages. Very very disappointing My husband had the meat and potato pie on special at £6.00when delivered it looked lovely, he really enjoyed it and the vegetables were plentiful and well cooked.

A traditional British Pub, serving locally sourced foods at good prices. We have an excellent selection of Real Ales, Wines, Spirits and Lagers available.
Evening visit, several tables reserved but no problem getting seated.Meet with gusto by who we think is the landlady who checked up on us several times during the evening.Standard menu plus specials board. Nice selection with general prices c£12 for mains. Massive portions and could not finish our plates. Food well cooked and tasty.Restaurant area a little dark and could benefit from better lighting.Nice selection of beers and largers. Attentive service.Large car park to the side and disabled parking at the front. Very clean toilets.
Incredible home cooked food.Keep up the good work, the word is spreading! Lovely atmosphere and beer!Thank you for your lovely review hope to see you again soon!
