Visited for Saturday lunch with my mom. We shared the seafood platter for 2 from the starter menu which was nice but we were disappointed to find there were 3 scallops, 3 battered prawns, 3 fish gougons & 1 fishcake, why not make it 4 of each & 2 fishcakes ? at £18 I thought it overpriced for what there was. Mom had the raspberry tart & myself the sticky toffee pudding which were both very nice.

Traditional family run country pub dating back to 1490 serving home cooked meals lunchtimes and evenings. Home cooked Sunday lunches served to order 12pm-3pm 7 time Solihull pub of the year. 32 years of award winning hospitality greets you with a range of
I was visiting an area where I used to live and met up with a friend from my childhood. The four of us decided to go to a local pub for lunch. we chose The Bulls Head in Barston. I had used it a few times about 50 years ago! But it had never been a regular haunt. I tried a pint of a local beer, which was very good, though don't recall what it was. To eat I had a Crab and Prawn salad. which I really enjoyed, very good crab, nice prawns and salad, and the brown bread was exceptionally nice, and a decent portion all in it was an enjoyable meal. The pub feels like it is a very local hostelry, and the fabric of the building rather worn. But, it doesn't really need to be a shiny gin palace. I would happily eat here again.

Classic pub-grub alongside more exquisite Mediterranean flavours. Excellent range of real ales
Last minute reservation. despite it being a Sunday and busy, we were served promptly. Good selection of food and of Sunday roasts. Food was superb , generous servings and desserts were all heavenly. Apple tart, cookies, chocolate brownies , everything was great. Dogs allowed.

Traditional country pub with good food good beer and a warm welcome
Quiet place out the way if your looking for somewhere peaceful. Nice friendly local people. Not too much special about it though.

We know you'll love the interior, featuring open kitchens, stone fired ovens and log burning fires, offset by beautifully landscaped gardens for alfresco dining. The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute, with lots of comfort appeal, with homely things like
Generally the standard is very good, however Sunday lunch was very disappointing. Started with soup just warm. We had roast dinners; plentiful however roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding over cooked and tasteless, usually stay for 3 courses, however due to the poor starter and main we decided to leave.

This pub was a really good find. It looks great from the outside, and itâs just as good on the inside. Some decent real ales were on tap.The menu wasnât expansive, and there wasnât much for the vegetarian. However, when our food arrived nobody was disappointed. All four of us were quite impressed. The prices were also very reasonable. A great find.

Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will. Beefeater b
I was on a business trip for two nights with my colleague staying at the Premier Inn next door and had breakfast there on the two mornings 18th and 19th September. I visit a lot of these places on my journeys around the UK but I have to say this is the best one by far. Why? Well its early morning around 6.30am to 7am so not everyone is a happy bunny until you come across the man who served myself and my colleague. The chap's name is Phil. A top man who was a ray of sunshine, happy, cheerful and amusing. Absolutely set us up for the day. Not only that but the breakfast was top notch courtesy of Craig in the kitchen who made this particular fussy individual a breakfast absolutely to order. This establishment should be proud of having these guys working there.

Our Sunday roasts were not hot or fresh enough. The roast potatoes seemed old and warmed up not piping hot fresh from the oven as they should be.HI Jo,Thank you for your honest feedback, the chefs cook the roast potatoes in batches. We would gladly replace if the server is made aware. We hope to see you again soon.Kind Regards,John BrittonGeneral Manager

We ate here on a Friday night. 7 of us ordered starters and mains. You order at the bar so fair enough I didnât expect amazing service but when you get to the bar there were 3 young lads who fancied their bucket and couldnât really be bothered to serve you. The ladies all ran round all night but even they walked past our plates that sat in front of us for over 30 mins after we had finished our meal. Large Sauvignon is over £9. So youâd expect a better service & quality when paying more for drinks. At least table service if it is not overly busy, the staff definitely had time!! Steak was very undercooked in the middle. Near blue. Pub grub & also website says CHEFS NEEDED, which is perhaps why the food wasnât great. Not sure if I would go back or not. Perhaps avoid until they have chefs??... It wouldnât be a regular haunt.
