We visited this place two times - with almost a year gap between each visit, and i must say... still the best burger in town.Although service was a little off and the place is still not 5 stars, the burger is hands down. And to say that after 9 months, the food is still the same tasty, in Ghana, is an unparalleled achievement.Great job... keep it up.We will be back.

A Traditional Restaurant & Sports Bar serving the best in Ghanaian Cuisine. Set in a beautiful landscaped garden Living Room is a relaxing dining experience. Whether you want to dine alfresco with the family in our cool air conditioned inside area for a b
This is a place to have a beer and some food on a lazy afternoon in a lovely garden in the Residential East Legon Area. There is a bar and an airconditioned room as well as lots of tables outside. Local food but fresh and tasty- groundnut, palmnut and light soup with chicken, fish or goat, fried chicken and daily specials like snails and pig trotters if you want to try something more unusual. The service is a bit lost and useless but friendly, the wifi is mostly down and there are airplanes flying above your head every 10 minutes but itâs still a lovely place to go, laidback and easygoing.

Came on a Friday evening and the place was packed with people. Great band playing highlife and reggea, fabulous chicken kebabs, tender and spicy. The owners were around to welcome guests and chat to people. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. On Saturday there was a different band, not as good, only a third of the tables were taken, chicken kebabs just as tasty, beef version very tough. Difficult to find parking places on Friday.

The character and ambience of the place is just right.. We got there after 9pm, and even though I was with my sisters, we fit in quite well with the crowd.. very diverse crowd.. Waiters are very attentive and the welcoming attitude is good. Food wasn't overwhelmingly great. However, it was manageable.. Maybe it was just a bit of a bad day in the kitchen. I'll try again Dear Tenu,Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed our place, and hope we can improve your experience for your next visit. We try our best to keep our quality and standards high in food and service, and hope you will give us another try. We have live music every week from Tuesdays to Fridays with different styles of music. We hope to see you again soon!Best Regards,
Looking for some light fare since I don't eat local foods. Salad with vinaigrette dressing was surprisingly good. Staff nice and friendly.Tried to enjoy the club after dinner, however it was crowded, nowhere to sit. Too much partying, tbd smell if underarms was strong.

Went there 11/8 sat upstairs: After placing order waited 40 min. for food. I had ordered " fish & chips" which was undercooked. Sent it back and waited another 20 minutes. I gave up and asked for the check. It was then the food came rushing out. Fish fully cooked but was not really tasty. Had to share table with a group of 7 people.. no problem but waiter did use his common sense and move them when a larger table became available. Went back again 11/18 to give them a second chance : this time my food came after my friends had completely finished their meal. Waiters are poorly trained

We love the veggie burgers at The Counter. Also the sweet potato fries...when they're available. The drinks are too sweet, so we don't order those anymore. The service varies based on how busy they are. The layout in the new location is nice, though we miss popping over after shopping at Accra Mall.

The menu is extensive as are the vegetarian choices. Most important, the food was very good and the prices were reasonable. I liked the restaurant so much I went there for lunch on three consecutive days. Although the time between my order and its arrival was a bit longer than seemed reasonable, the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I will certainly return the next time I can.

The Republics atmosphere varies from a quaint after work secret chill out spot, to a bustling local & cheap cocktail bar on weekends. They have wonderful Mojitos and Caipirinhas at an amazingly affordable price, not to mention delicious meals that you jus
So if you are in Accra and want to hang out at a spot where you will see the locals in their usual selves, this is a place you should consider. I visited The Republic on a Wednesday night so it wasn't so congested. I hear this spot can look like a street party on Friday nights...so depending on what you want, do take note. The food was just okay and I got the most generous serving of calamari I've ever had here. If you are sophisticated and 'boujee' then this is not a place for you. But if you are street, then you should come here. The staff were nice though - one of them helped us to get an Uber since we were away from our hotel and didn't have wifi.
