A very warm welcome to The Stag, a traditional bar in the heart of Aberdeen city centre where you can enjoy a few pints with friends and some heart warming food.
Popped in here to avoid a heavy rain shower. The pub is situated near to one of the shopping centres, just off Union Street. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and drinks are reasonable priced.Canât comment about the food as we only had drinks, but seemed popular, as there were several tables prebooked.

On our 5 night stay in Aberdeen my wife and I visited this location for drinks and food.Upon arrival, we were initially ignored by the female bartender (darker hair with shaved lines her eyebrows) who seemed more interested in chatting with the guys sitting at the bar than addressing new patrons who had just come in.Several minutes later another bartender appeared and he was extremely friendly, greeting us and quickly directing us to a table. After ordering drinks we decided to have the fish and chips which were delicious.Throughout our visit we had occasion to interact with two additional staff members a male and female (blondish hair) who were both friendly and professional as well. Thanks to these subsequent staff members, this experience was salvaged and ultimately we had a pleasant visit!

Was in Aberdeen for a football match, and after having nothing to eat since breakfast time, decided to pop into Blackfriars for something to eat before setting off home.A Belhaven chain pub, but a lot more character than the 'Spoons across the road, and most importantly, much better food!Really rustic settings for what is one of the oldest pubs in Aberdeen, and like going into a medieval style vaults or something.Staff are really friendly and waiter who looked after me went well beyond the call of duty to make sure my meal was enjoyable.Ordered the loaded burger, which looks exactly as it sounds, but not a beat of a burger that will leave you stuffed... large but not to big.Washed down with a pint of Lemonade, and all this came to £13.00.Will most certainly be back again in future.Thank you so much for your positive comments about our pub, have a great day!Jordan Shaw

The second BrewDog bar in the city where it all began! We have amazing food, craft beer, coffee, super-friendly knowledgeable staff and a bottle shop that will blow your mind.
Donât come here for lunch unless youâve got lots of time to waste. Service is so poor that it doesnât really matter how much you love to be up close and personal with the trendy craft beer world, this is just not worth it. Waited an hour for a very average burger, wouldnât do it again. Sorry Aberdeen, this is a really bad look for visitors to your city.

We visited Garlogie Inn for the first time in a long while for no particular reason. We received a lovely warm welcome and shown to the conservatory for lunch. It was a lovely place with open views over farmland. The order was quickly taken and the food turned out to be excellent. We were both suitably impressed and we will not be so long in returning to Garlogie Inn.

A restaurant that reminded me of a US restaurant. Very good drinks and the food was OK but nothing to go for if you are only interested in food. Nice atmosphere Hi Anders,Thanks for the very honest review, I'm sorry it was only 3 stars! Hopefully see you again where we can redeem ourselves!Ben,General Manager
Where to eat American food in Aberdeen: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Sports Bar, Casual Dining Restaurant and upstairs function suite for up to 120 covers. American,Italian freshly made to order food with a Scottish twist.
First visit here last night after a friendâs recommendation and it didnât fail to impress! Lovely homely atmosphere with a fab waitress who was rushed off her feet but very good at her job. We had the spicy chicken wings, chilli bowl, ribs and a kids chicken strips. Portion sizes are very generous, the chilli was to die for, best I have ever tasted (proper American style). Home made tortillas and cornbread finished it off perfectly. The chicken strips were good according to our fussy 10 year old who finished the lot followed by the caramel apple tart (which I was hoping he wouldnât finish but he did!). Ribs looked amazing and were really good too. Decent price - £56 for the food plus 6 soft drinks. Will definitely be back!
