This is a 3.5 = Pretty good. the guides were kind and resourceful. For the price this was a lovely way to spend the afternoon, the snorkling and island were beautiful. The guides did not actually know much about the islands or the environment, but were good people who need jobs. The boat was leaking diesel and they had to repair the engine several times. I didn't blame them, but the tour operator definitely needs more sustainable boats, it just does not make sense to send gas leaking, oily boats out into such beauty. Tourists - take a bit more time and find the highest rated green and in terms of guide training!

We had such a great time in Bohol! First class service all of the way! Leila met us at hotel and took us to the train station. Once we arrived in Bohol we were greeted by Bing and we were off. Bing was very knowledgeable and a local to the island. Our driver Fidel was quiet but cracked a few smiles throughout the day. The Chocolate Hills were amazing and the Tarsiers were so cute. Our mini river cruise with lunch was delicious and it was neat to meet the Ati tribe. We really enjoyed our special one day tour and would highly recommend this company.

The Beauty of Cebu strengthens when one municipality in the South captures the interest of one’s extraordinary adventure from the pristine white sandbar in Sumilon Island and to an ultimate experience of swimming with the Gentle Giants, “The Whale Sharks”or “Butanding” what locals called. Get on a close encounter and swim with the gentle giants. Enjoy and get mesmerized by the beauty of Tumalog Falls and fall inlove by Oslob's history as you see Baluarte de Oslob and Oslob Cuartel. A sidetrip to Sumilon White Sand bar will surely complete your day.

OSLOB WHALE SHARK ENCOUNTER SHARED TOUR BOOKING NO: 774491411 I had bought this tour from Cebu Trip Tours, which according to their website was with the possibility of cancellation and on February 13, 2020 I requested the cancellation. They replied that in 20-30 working day they would make the refund, but to date, it has not been made. I have been sending several emails, at first with a response apologizing and begging me to be patient that the refund would be made. More than 6 months have passed, they still do not refund the tour and now they do not even respond to my emails.

I visited Oslob twice, in 2013 and 2015, and the second time was really crowded as hundreds were waiting to go see the sharks. I can see that some people are concerned about the ethicality of whale shark tourism in Oslob. As an animal lover, and especially a big fan of the whale sharks, I would like to share my opinion. 1. In a perfect world, we would love to see wild animals roam free with no interference from humans, and we should close all the zoos and let animals go back to the wild. However, I am sure the majority of people would never have seen a lion if not for zoos, let alone exotic species such as the icon of WWF – the giant panda. Is it important to see animals? Let’s just say, if you’ve never seen a panda, you would not love it, or put in effort to save it. For the whale sharks, some of my Chinese friends who swam with them vowed that they are never eating shark fin soup again. So, the Oslob whale shark operation is at least a good education program. 2. As far as I know, the practice of feeding the sharks in Oslob began decades ago: local fishermen use feeds to lead the sharks away from their fishing area, so that the sharks do not damage their nets. Then some entrepreneur saw this and suggested to the fishermen to turn it into a tourist attraction. The experience of Oslob showed the fishermen all over Philippines that live whale sharks mean $ year after year, so they bought in to the protection program. 3. The guides at Oslob told me that there are only 14 sharks that come to feed here, but not all of them show up everyday, sometimes there are only 3 or 4, so the sharks do not depend on the feed at all. In fact, whale sharks eat tonnes of plankton daily, and there is no way the fishermen can supply them with enough. So the sharks have to feed elsewhere – Oslob is just a snack-stop for them. 4. Since only the same group of sharks show up, these must be non-migrating sharks: they are either resident sharks originally, or they have decided to settle down – which is not uncommon. We humans should understand that animals do not want to migrate if they don’t have to: every year, some 25% of all migrating wildebeests perish in Africa. The animals would avoid it if they can. Several years ago when a director of WWF gave a talk on the subject in Hong Kong, I had an opportunity to discuss with him about Oslob, and he agreed that the verdict is still out on Oslob. In summary, is the Oslob operation non-ethical? I suppose the answer is “yes” by definition; but is it bad for the whale sharks? My answer would be “no”. Is it bad for the tourists? Well, it is getting too crowded!

My friends and I went to Boracay way back May 2019 to celebrate my birthday. Was looking for an adventure that we can enjoy. Then I came across this diving at Ariel's point for whole day. I didn't regret doing this as activity as we really had a good time. We went to the meeting point in the morning, went on a boat ride for half an hour. On-board we had unlimited drinks of soda, liquor and beers which is really cool! when we arrived at the area we were given instructions by the staff. You can dive from 5m, 10m or 15m. And if you get tired from jumping or don't feel doing it you may, paddle boarding and kayaking. The location also was secluded and very clean!

Very well organised, they are feeding the whale sharks to be sure you are swimming with. The only thing is- you are waiting very long to go on board- between 1,5 and 3hours. But is fantastic when you are in the water between this gentle giants.
