Excellent lunch and even better Caipirinhas the best we had on the Brazilian trip. While the restaurant was crowded due to many boats arriving there was a good choice of buffet lunch and superb selection of fruits. In fact we never consumed better pineapple than at this restaurant. Full marks.

I love to watch the sunrise. The view and sunrise at Telegrafo was so beautiful. It’s a very peaceful place. We hiked for almost 1.5 hrs in the dark to get to the top early. Tavi was great! He brought a flashlight, lots of bug spray and snacks! I recommend wear hiking boots or sneakers.

The Private Helicopter Flight in Rio de Janeiro is one of the most spectacular and memorable experiences you will have from your visit to Rio and in your life. The opportunity to see the city from the sky is something unique and unforgettable. The helicopter rises and the symphony begins under your eyes. The incredible balance between nature and the city will take your breath away! The Tijuca Forest extends into the heart of the city, covering the mountains with a fresh and vivid green color. Beaches, islands, emblematic buildings, Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf Mountain, the legendary Maracanã Stadium, all of that and much more can be seen from the helicopter. The social contrast is also really interesting to see from the sky. The favorite moment for most of our guests is when you can look into the eyes of the statue, Christ the Redeemer! We have no words to explain this experience. Undoubtedly, a private helicopter flight is the best way to see and understand the city of Rio de Janeiro!
Inclusions: Helicopter Panoramic Flight

I've had the great fortune to visit the sights of Rio de Janeiro with Rio Alternative Tours in the past many times, on my trip to Rio this time I wanted to venture further afield and Vicente & Lully both agreed Petropolis would be a good place for me to go. This is where the famous Bohemia lager is produced so the day was based around my wanting to visit this brewery. As always, Vicente arrived on-time and his car was immaculate, we left in air-conditioned tranquility on the 2.5 hour journey to Petropolis which is through some wonderful scenic roads. One of the great things about the tour is that they have thought of everything, even the place we stopped on the way for some food was fantastic. We stopped a few times on the way for some photos too, will add them to the review. Upon arriving into Petropolis we stopped at the very impressive Quitandinha Palace and admired the grounds, lake and architecture. From there we went for lunch and a few beers by a wonderful mansion house, Vicente pointed out the many errors in the design. Because of COVID the museums were closed but thankfully Bohemia was open. GREAT facility with an interesting walking tour of both the history of beer in South America as well as the more recent brewing techniques. You are given a small glass on arrival and you are permitted to have many samples....I had many samples! At the end there is an inevitable gift shop but the merchandise is very good, so bought a few souvenirs then had dinner at the brewery restaurant, it was very tasty. Back to Rio de Janeiro the same day and I have to say whilst it was quite a long day, it went by really quickly with lots of interesting facts from Vicente as well as some beautiful sights along the drive. I *could* easily have hired a car and driven there myself, but the insight and ability to drink copious amounts of beer made the tour fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend visiting Petropolis for the scenery and fascinating history of the town.

Hike through Tijuca National Park's rainforest on a 6-hour eco-tour contemplating one of the most splendid views of Rio contrasting with the greatest urban forest in the world. Accompanied by an expert guide, expect a trilling tour full of nature with waterfalls, springs, small lakes, viewpoints, and historic sites. Animals, particularly monkeys, coatis and birds, can be seen all around during walks in the lush landscape and falls. The walking distance is about 7 km, round trip, is mostly in the shade, ranging from light to medium level of difficulty. The hiking time is about 4 hrs at a slow pace. Visit the calm and beautiful waterfalls where we stop for bath and pictures. Bring swimsuits along so that you can splash around. We then continue on for more 10 min up to the scenic weir called “Açude da Solidão”. Take a break at the edge of it and enjoy snacks picnic style. After having such an adventurous day, relax on the journey back to your hotel.

I visited Brazil for 2 weeks and booked a bunch of stuff for my time there. This tour was incredible! We learned so much about the Christ Statue and the plants in the garden. rented a 40 foot sailboat for two people with a captain and crew. Unlike the boats listed on Rio Island Boat Tour's website, which seem to be in good condition, this one looked like it had been out of the rental fleet for years. It was a 40 foot yacht, for full price, and the stereo didn't work. There were champagne corks in the cupholders from whoever rented the boat last. The wind was blowing 10 knots, and the captain had to reef the ancient sail because he was worried that if it was all the way up it would tear. In the galley, the top of the ice box was completely detached, which is just dangerous. Plastic cups were cracked and dirty. It basically was like this boat was mothballed years ago. The captain was equally disillusioned over the state of the boat and said he had asked for repairs for years. Overall, I've round Rio Island Boat Tour to be very responsive, and the captain and crew were friendly and nice. But this boat, which they don't list on their website and charged the same rate for, felt like a bait and switch. I shared my issues with the boat upon boarding and since that day there have been no attempts to resolve the situation and my messages have gone unread.

Everything was a s described. We had an enjoyable time. My only suggestion for the operators is that for this price you could include at least a couple of drinks and a snack on the beach.
