quaint very old fashioned restaurant, same staff since first visited years ago. food is simple and freshly cooked. had fish, corvina and golden bream(dourara) locally. good value for simple meal, wcs bit of let down, needs a simple facelift without spoiling character, looking a bit tired now.

Vey authentic Portuguese /Spanish restaurant with tapas you can see and choose from the counter served simply with breads. The charred chorizo was excellent, the ham the best I have ever had and the cod dish brilliant.Great cheeses too- would return without doubt

Had lunch here whilst visiting the area. Ideally situated by the side of the river, great views of the Marina. Staff were friendly and attentive. Large restaurant to the rear of the premises and more snack type meals and bar to the front of the building. Very pleasant to spend time after walking around the town and market on a very warm day. We considered it to be quite upmarket. The food and drinks we selected were most enjoyable.

Portuguese / international restaurant with fusion dishes between traditional Portuguese cuisine and modern kitchen trends.
We stopped in for some lunch. Looked closed but glad we went in. The waiter was very helpful and helped explain some items on the menu and pair recommended some wine. The rustic chips were really nice as was the garlic mayo. Cheese board was tasty and the tuna was great. Obrigado pela avaliação, esperamos voltar a ter a vossa companhia em breve.

And I mean that in the very best sense. Those of you who have nostalgia for the 11970âs nostalgia for the 50s (ie, you grew up watching Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley) will be very happy here. The staff are friendly but maybe just a little sassy in the right way. The burgers are cooked American style using local ingredients. Iâve never had a burger with asparagus and mushrooms cooked in port wine sauce before (the Chicago burger) and it was delicious! Their fries are delicious too. They play great music, lots of 50s rock and rockabilly which creates the perfect ambiance. If youâre American, Jossyâs Williams put a big smile on your face. If not, youâll still love the tasty food and fun atmosphere.

For overall dining experiences, this is clearly one of the best you will have in VRS Antonio. The owner/chef is brilliant with so many dishes that I tried over the course of 10 days, and I was reluctant to go anywhere else! The melted goat cheese was the best I have ever had ... the local wine that was recommended was perfect. I tasted several types of fish, but the best dish I believe (other than the tuna and their speciality of cod) was the beef cooked on a hot stone. Unbelievably excellent. And all served with knowledge and professional friendliness. Go. Please. You will not be disappointed.I am delighted with your kind words, the main reason for the existence of dI. VINO is precisely the satisfaction of illustrious travelers, like you who visit us the whole year. We like to present to you what is best in Portuguese cuisine as well as other dishes from the former colonies and also from the Canary Islands (Spain) Of course being our name dI Vino, wine could never take on a secondary role. After all, Life is too short for poor wine.

It is with reluctance that I ever criticise service. Waiting on in a restaurant is hard work and not well paid.Putting down my handbag on an empty adjacent seat, which was not about to be used, the middle-aged waiter pushed the chair ostentatiously under the table...as if to make a point.I thought I had imagined this, but later, when reaching for a handkerchief I accidentally pulled the chair out slightly and it was pushed in again. With a dour manner he served the meal, which was standard Portuguese fare and perfectly ok. I understand he is not the usual waiter and that normally the staff here are delightful. If this is the case then he does the business disservice . This area thrives on tourism. Tonight, unusually, I felt that we were an irritation. The Grand Beach Restaurant about a hundred yards further down the road has more adventurous food and charming service.

We checked TA, and found this restaurant at the top of the list, and as we were in town for a special birthday, reserved a table. On a Friday February evening it turned out to be very quiet, and for our first half hour had the undivided attention of a friendly and knowledgeable waiter, and having complimented him on his excellent English, had a good chat about his career in England and on cruise ships. Later I over heard him telling a Swiss couple how he had worked in Switzerland too, so he may just have been very âsimpaticoâ, but was clearly good at his job. The restaurant is very large and nicely decorated inside with a well-stocked bar, and interesting wall art. The menu is interesting, and we shared some octopus tentacles as a starter, and they were very tender and well presented. Our main of Steak Bohéme was a bit of a disappointment as the âsteakâ (Entrecôte) on the menu was in fact a rather pale veal, and the beer sauce was rather bland. Good hand cut chips and boiled vegetables were the accompaniment, but the cauliflower had a spongy texture as if marinated in oil before steaming. A massive plate of profiteroles with cream and ice cream completed a competent dinner, and we left feeling well satisfied.Thank you very much for your kind evaluation wich allows us to track the quality of our service and food. We are pleased that it has been positive overall but we will try the maximum score possible in the next time you join us, which is our only goal.Sem Espinhas Guadiana
