The restauarnt is located in a small village just next to the beach in Vila Chã. The place is not very large, would recommend to call and get a reservation next to the window- the view is amazing!Plenty of options available but fresh fishes are really one of the best choices- you can get them grilled or grilled with a sauce on top (bulhão pato with clams). They have an impressive wine selection!! and the desserts are also good.

The food at this restaurant is really lovely, simply cooked, fresh local produce. However what makes this place special is the lovely staff who take incredible pride in their restaurant and the food being put out. Friendly and very knowledgeable about both their wine and food. This quirky little restaurant is a must if you are visiting Vila do Conte

The Italian Restaurant VILLA DEL CONTE invites you to embark on a trip to Italy, without leaving the Villa! A space by the sea that provides true moments of gastronomic pleasure! With a carefully prepared menu and a strict selection of the best ingredient
We stumbled upon this cozy restaurant with excellent views of the Atlantic. While we were admiring the decor, free welcome antipasti was served. We ordered mussels gratin for starters, curry chicken risotto and Funghi pizza for main course. Every dish had well balanced flavours. For desserts, we had chocolate surprise with raspberry mascarpone. Sweetness from chocolate and tang from raspberry created paradise in my mouth. Sangria was amazing too. What topped all of this was great service.A must visit if you are around this area! Thank you Sangeeta D!

Great staff and tasty food offered here. Itâs worthwhile to make your way here as itâs off the main track. Beautiful surroundings and relaxing atmosphere. Loved the tuna starter with Portuguese sausage and olives - fantastic. Best steak weâve had since we arrived

During the Camino de Santiago we stopped for lunch at Republika and itâs been quite the surprise. Very nice restaurant, super packed but they served us quickly and professionally. We choose the menu of the day: two courses, one water, one beer, two coffees for a total of 21â¬. Excellent experience, if itâs a sunny day, we suggest you sit on the patio outside

A Adega da Vila está encerrada para férias, reabre dia 20 de Fevereiro. Holidays! We open 20/03/2019
Although booking is normally required for this well-reviewed eatery, (phone number in pics above) we lucked out when we found it open on a Sunday lunchtime - only the 2nd week this had happened so not well known, or I'm sure we would not have got in. It certainly lived up to its recommendations, and the proprietor, Alvaro, looked after us beautifully and entertained us well. He recommended a suitable number of petiscos for 5 people, and we enjoyed them all. Everything was just delicious, and interestingly presented. We had the ham slices on a slate washing line, as shown in some of the pictures above, for example. We had the local red wine, and enjoyed it, and some of the port which continues to mature in the bottle, also very good. We shared a selection of deserts, all yummy too. A nice touch was a wee sample of the local biscuits, which were traditionally made by nuns, using up the egg yolks left when they starched their wimples with the whites. Highly recommended!
