Our aim is to serve delicious and traditional Portuguese food, based on a Mediterranean diet of meat, shellfish and seafood. All our fish is sourced from the local lagoon known as "Ria Formosa". Local produce such as Bread, Wine, Olive Oil and Cheeses are
Prazeres was a great success. The food was simple, beautifully cooked and plentiful. We particuIarly enjoyed the specials and the service was warm friendly and fun. This was our favourite of the restaurants along the Av 5 de Out and I happily recommend it

Portuguese snacks, best wines and good humor. Good meals for everyone and tastes. Reservations accepted
Wander through the maze of backstretch just behind the Golden Mile of Resturants, and a different world appears. This world is full of disjointed streets, strange and interesting shops, and random street cafes. This particular one seems to cross between the local and tourist markets, providing a limited menu, around key themes, e.g. Sea, or farm.We had a light lunch of fried squid, and honey ribs. An unlikely option in many places! This proved to be excellent, with plenty of flavour, fresh ingredients, and just right as a change from the prawns or mussels that are frequently the main option for most not wanting sandwich lunch.Cos was just over 25, including a bottle of wine, which is not bad for such good food and drink.

We stumbled upon this place by luck. The service is incredibly friendly. The seats were all reserved, but the friendly host managed to squeeze a small table for three. We ordered the sweet potatoes, Traditional Portuguese salad, Thai tuna, fried tofu rice dish and vegetarian curry. I was with two vegetarian eaters and they had so many options! We returned the next day with a group of seven. We enjoyed the rabbit dish and octopus with similar dishes from the day before. Dishes could be shared between two people! Food is slow to serve, but worth the wait. Overall, a lovely experience. The ambiance is quaint and very European. We are happy we found this place!

Local joint slightly off the beaten track, a few steps from Olhaoâs wonderful markets, where we buy whatâs freshest each morning. Fresh tapas/petiscos, salads and a handful of fish and meat dishes every day. Oh, and our desserts are always gluten free. We
Hand written menus with lots of fresh fish, no compromise to tourists, (no chips) and genuinely friendly service. We had different starters ranging from âsheepâsâ cheese with honey, fig, mandarin, goats cheese and honey and tomato and water melon salad with basil. Three of us had the fresh sole and one of us grilled chicken and salad. All our dishes were excellent. Highly recommended.Thank you very much and thank you for being with us!

So, family meal out in Olhão town and it was my choice of where to eat out tonight from an extensive list prepared by my daughter. Happy to say i didnât fail to impress with my choice, superb in every aspect. From the very start when we approached the restaurant the waiter who greeted us was very welcoming and helped us with menus...my Portuguese isnât that special iâm afraid. We sat down in the square outside the restaurant and straight away were presented with bread and dips which were a good indication of how scrumptious the food was going to be. Food was to say the least, superb! We had the chilli squid to start with and my son even remarked âwagamamaâs needs to pick up their gameâ which is high praise indeed as this is one of his fave restaurants. Settled on their homemade burgers for mains and i must say it was one of the best i have had in years....oooohhhh still tasting it now. Waiters were really amazing, the kind who look after you because they take pride in what they do rather that just doing it as a job, thank you it makes a massive difference. All in all a fantastic evening out and would happily recommend this over and over again, first class in every way.

Visited with friends whilst recently on holiday in the Algarve. This is a second visit and what a little gem this restaurant is. Food was delicious....had sole with fried banana...just lovely. The restaurant was very busy and thankfully our friends had reserved a table. We will be back in holiday next year and will definitely visit again. All in all highly recommended.

Apaixonados pelo Mar e por toda a riqueza que nos dá, temos o camarão como base, sem sermos uma marisqueira. Somos uma Maré de novos sabores, em Olhão.
Up a side street and at first glance doesn't look much but so glad we went in. An interesting shrimp (prawn) based menu nicely explained by a very friendly waiter. We shared a heavenly salmon starter and then had the risotto and the lasagne which were more than the names suggest. Highly recommended.

We came here 16 months ago before the restaurant was truly recognised and we were wowed. On our return we had exactly the same menu but the experience wasnât quite the same. Bread and anchovies to start with followed by cod and pork loin. The owner was attentive and the meal was good value for money(although more expensive). Set in a back street and inside it is authentic Portuguese - definitely worth a visit away from the main restaurants.

Three of us were there for dinner on a quiet Monday evening. The service was charming and the food very good. We had vegetable soup and a green salad to start with. The main courses were two chicken dishes and a steak on the hot stone which was huge and tender with superb flavour. I would certainly go back
