The restaurant Jácome is located at Leça da Palmeira, 15-20 min from Porto by car but very near the beach. The place is well known for the fish, freshly arrived from the sea nearby, which I totally recommend, specially for those who love quality fresh fish, not frozen. The place is cozy, the staff is nice and friendly, the price is a bit high, but that's normal when concerns fresh fish. As a group of 5 we chose Linguado, Robalo and Arroz de marisco, all of them great, specially the amazing Açorda de Ovas, accompanying the Linguado and the Robalo.

The best Gaucho food awaits you in Matosinhos. And every hello, we offer a smile. Come on!
Quiet environment. Good localization. Good presentation. We are the business menu (rodÃzio). The food was good but average quality as anyone would expect from a normal Brazilian restaurant. It was ok for a business lunch. Great appetizers thou!

Restaurante Lage sr Padrao Dears costumer, restaurant is close for summer vacations at 29 August. See you soon. Thank you
A very nice family restaurant. Seabass, potatoes and vegetables are more than worth the money. Very friendly service all in all. Wines are reasonably priced too, and of good quality. Desserts include tortas geladas and Nata de Ceu which was, well, heavy stuff. That means good. Always worth a taxi ride to visit.

We have visited this fabulous restaurant many times however returned yesterday after a while only to discover how wonderful it really is. While the location of this place is awkward, weird and industrial, the restaurant absolutely delivers on food, service, ambiance, etc. The food is basically fish with some meat offerings. Roasted cod, boiled hake, grilled octopus, etc, etc, all amazingly well prepared. Do not overorder as these dishes are all full doces and enough for 2 persons. Order 1/2 doce per person. Beware that all 1/2 doce are â¬15 so select an expensive one to maximise the money. The wine.....large offering, stick with the least expensive and listen to their suggestions as they will not steer you wrong. You will not need to spend more than â¬10.50The service. They will speak English so do not hesitate to impose on them. The ambiance. While effectively a rear facing landscaped enclosure in a parking lot, it is light, airy, well appointed and spacious. The table sizes are generous and separate.Make a reservation just in case. Closed Sundays.

We were taken to this local, traditional gem by friends of ours that are from Matsosinhos which made this place that much more special. On its own is still an incredible fine. From the moment you arrive at this old world restaurant sitting just alongside the castle, you are reminded of a living tradition....families queued up outside waiting for others to show, folks dressed slightly better than your standard night out clothes, an air of formality despite it being an incredibly informal and local place.Ok on to the food. As soon as you enter the front door, you are faced with a huge table and tanks did playing their daily offering of seafood. This impressive showing covers the full range of fish, crab, lobster, shellfish, etc, etc, etc. Yes, I poked my finger into a sea bass and yes it was incredibly fresh (daily catch). We were greeted at the table with a series of hor d'oeuvres. All lovely. If you do not want to pay for it, ask them to return it. After looking at the extensive wine list we chose a lovely Douro Pinot (20⬠but well worth it). Followed by a traditional fried catfish with a rich sauce made from fish roe. Our second course was a roast beef dish with potatoes and rice. Lovely, attentive service. Well spaced and dressed tables. A perfect score! Keep up the good work, I will be back.

Restaurant service only, lunch or dinner Dress code: trousers and shoes
This was my very favourite meal anywhere and that is saying a lot! The location is right on the ocean with an incredible architectural building shaped around the rocks. The room is lovely, light and airy with a good vibe. The service is exceptional and all of the team appear to really CARE about this place, their food and customers. The Chef Rui Paula is charming and personable and makes a real effort to welcome all guests. We chose a 12 course menu (fish/seafood version - there is also a vegetarian option) as it was lunchtime and that was just perfect. The imagination, creativity, freshness and flair was world class and the tastes were delicious, without exception.I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. A real highlight of our trip! Keep up the great work.

Traditional Portuguese restaurant of grilled fish and seafood. Fresh fish directly from the fishing-harbor. Complete bar ans cocktails!
We had the shrimp dumplings for appetizer and grilled fish (espada and âcavalaâ). With a good bottle of white wine it costed around â¬50 for 2 persons and it was every cent worth it. Everything was delicious. Comfortable e beautiful chairs, friendly service.
