I previously visited in April and had a rather tough Portuguese steak although to be fair the rest of our party enjoyed their meals. Tonight I tried the lamb chops and it was really nice, a substantial portion of lamb, amazingly tender and accompanied with fries and a fried egg. The house red wine is also very good. Most of the rest of the party had the pork fillets which were also reportedly very good. Not Fim do Mundo but not FDM prices either.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the building above the restaurant. It was lovely, fresh fish that was done perfectly, lovely wines and ports and the service was so friendly and excellent. The couple who run it are wonderful hosts. I would really recommend a stop here if you are in the area.

Went here with my husband having seen the reviews on trip advisor. Warm smiling welcome from the staff and led to a table. The evening just got better and better! A superb wine was recommended which we both enjoyed. Food was fantastic fresh tasty attractive and plentiful. Good selection for cheese with again a recommended port. Would thoroughly recommend especially for people who enjoy a good choice off wine

Visited here twice during our recent stay nearby. The staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The food was delicious and very well priced. Will definitely return here when we next visit. Wouldnât hesitate to recommend.

Just enjoyed another lovely meal at O Canto. Delicious food. Jimmy and his team are great and very attentive. The John Dory and the steak were cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef. We can highly recommend this restaurant

We had an excellent meal lovely spicy fish soup. Garlic prawns with orange sauce. Six lamb chops. All well cooked served by delightful intelligent young lady who ran down the street in pursuit of us when one of our party (me) left his jumper behind . Too many mojohito's me thinks Bill reasonable. Will return to try the aged beef. Catch of the day looked good when bought out for client selection

Visit this restaurant whenever in Ferragudo. Excellent meat and fish restaurant with good sized portions. Owers are chef and front of house Jo, who is a character! Word of warning need to book, closed Wednesdays, and go hungry as sweets are great as well.Thanks so much for taking the time to come and then reveiw

How this restaurant is not in the top 10 in Carvoeiro is beyond me because the service and food are out of this world, most probably because it used to be called Biffe until a new owner bought it and its the appearance from the road doesnât help and the name doesnât exactly slip off the tongue but please donât be put off by that because if you like fish then order the grilled mixed fish with potatoes and vegetables itâs absolutely amazing for â¬15 !! or the monkfish and rice - fantastic flavours, itâs a sister restaurant to âA Galeâ across the road so that speaks for itself. This restaurant deserves a better rating than TA give it but itâs up the customers and reviewers to give it the rating it deserves. Just try it. The fish grill consisted of tuna steak,salmon,scallop, codfish, King Prawn and langostino served with potatoes and vegetables Thank you so very much.....Your comment make me so happy This is why I love my job.
