Absolutely brilliant, if you love steam and diesel trains please go, you have a bar on the train, so whether you drink or just like refreshments it as it all, riding on these trains is just brilliant,

Following a multi-million pound transformation project, Britain's last surviving cloth hall, featuring independent shops, cafes and bars, heritage visitor centre, art gallery and a spectacular events programme is now open seven days a week.
First visit to Halifax as a tourist and the day centred around the Piece Hall. What a wonderful day out and very much recommended to all. Impressive architecture, full of history. Made to feel very welcome by the good people of Halifax with plenty to see and do. We joined a free tour of the Piece Hall and our guide Pamela did a truly superb job of bringing the history to life and showing us around. The work that has been done to restore the Piece Hall is world class. There's great independant shops to visit and several very pleasant places to eat and drink including Gin Lane where we enjoyed a special Espresso Martini and Elder that provided a superb lunch which included catering perfectly for my gluten free dietry needs. Hope to visit again soon!

Victoria Leeds is the go-to shopping and leisure destination in Leeds city centre. Combining the 1990 Victoria Quarter and the 2016 Victoria Gate, it includes a John Lewis & Partners, Harvey Nichols, Super Casino & over 70 beautiful boutiques as well as rooftop restaurants.
Victoria Leeds has some gorgeous shops, not to mention my favourite bar in Leeds, Issho. The arcades are absolutely stunning and the staff are always lovely. With the Victoria Leeds app there are several in-store events I get invited to, competitions I can enter and much more.

The Leeds and Liverpool Canal was originally built in Victorian times to connect the Irish and North Seas and to transport all the good generated from the mills in the area. Today it has been restored so people can enjoy the canal either on a narrowboat or by making use of the towpath to walk or cycle along or for fishing. It stretches quite a distance so you can walk as far or as little as you want.

When you walk through the Arcade you are transported back to Victorian Leeds - well the wealthy Victorian era. It is a feast for the eyes if not the wallet.

Lovely place. Got here just in time to witness a boat going through the lock. Great to watch. Fascinating how it’s done. Well worth a visit. A lovely walk along the canal. Loved it.

The hebden bridge canal has always been a focus for leasure. Whether your headed out in the direction of Todmorden or Mytholmroyd its the perfect way of having a long chat with your partner or friend and taking in the calder valley scenery. For nearly 4 decades i have enjoyed its gentle calm and still waters for walking or cycling. As its become so popular now i would try and use the tow path during the week if you can as in season the weekends are full of fishermen trying to land the behemoth of the lives.
