Pula is situated at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula and is the area's largest city. Located beneath seven hills and with views of the Adriatic, Pula's unspoiled natural surroundings are magical. Known for its mild climate and tame, beautiful sea, Pula also has a long tradition of winemaking, fishing and shipbuilding. It is also home to many ancient Roman buildings, including the well-preserved, magnificent amphitheater.

the Town Hall is next to the Augustus Temple, both in the Forum, and still the heart of the old town for daily life, after 2000 years!

I had read the reviews on Tripadvisor and knew this would be hard to find. The clue is that it is very close to the two large P for parking signs on the map. Like a lot of the old roman attractions in Pula the signage is poor. Such a shame as it's annoying to have to look so far. The good news is that this is a glorious example of a very beautiful mosaic. Persevere!

Lighting Giants are illuminated cranes of Uljanik Shipyard in Pula, Croatia which is the city’s attraction and symbol. The idea of illuminating cranes of shipyard was born in the context of Visualia Festival in Pula – the festival of light, presents the magic and beauty of new technologies and audiovisual art. Visualia was held for the first time in 2013, with 3D mapping, and its program has been increasing every year. The creator of project called Lighting Giants was architectural lighting designer Dean Skira from Pula, who lighted up the cranes at Uljanik Shipyard with 73 RGB LED spotlights.
