St. Therese of Lisieux Church is a sacred and beautiful place. Fr. Tom Murray is the pastor and leads his parishioners with a beautiful song at the start of each mass, and he has a magnificent voice. More than the songs we sing each day, Fr. Tom feeds us inspiration and teaches us God;s way. The church is just beautiful and you will enjoy going to mass or even a visit.....light a candle, say a prayer, feel the presence of God.

Located on the tip of Long Island, the oldest lighthouse in New York State offers a museum, gift shop and tours.
A must see attraction. This beautiful Lighthouse on the tip of Long Island is worth the trip .You can have a picnic and take a tour and climb to the top of the lighthouse with spectacular views. And you better hurry cause it might go over the edge sooner or later

I grew up in Riverhead and when I was a kid, my dad would take us to the ocean to swim and pass by The Big Duck. Us kids would anticipate approaching the curve in the road and would shout out "I see the Big Duck !" in unison to see who saw it first. It was a big event for us little kids. I remember stopping in with my father to buy eggs, giving me a chance to check out the inside of the store. It was tiny. There was a lot of other things hanging on the wall and I suppose it was memorabilia promoting The Big Duck. I vaguely remember getting my father to buy me one of those old painted postcards as a souvenir. I wonder where it is today? The Big Duck was moved to a new location which I think was being developed as a local park, but was later moved back to its original location, much to my delight. I haven't lived in Riverhead for many years, but when I go back to visit, I still feel the excitement of approaching the curve in the road and yelling, "I see the Big Duck !" My wife (from Boston) thinks I'm weird. Richard Schaefer Palm Coast, FL

We spent 3 days / 2 nights in the Whitney room for our Anniversary. There is really not much at all to do there, no real activities, so it was a huge difference for us to just relax and catch up on sleep and relaxation. They have a small gym, but other than that, there's just food at the restaurant. There is a hallway with photos of the history of the Castle and a "Chaplin Room" with a plethora of Charlie Chaplin memorabilia. The furniture is solid antique wood that you cannot find anywhere else, the high ceilings exquisite, and all the comforts of modern life such as the sprinklers, smoke/fire detectors, elevator, etc. A bit disappointed there was no small refrigerator in the room, for the price they charge, but it was a very large room with modern bathroom and a great view. The bed and cushions were very comfortable and we slept quite deeply. Extremely quiet too. We had a great time there and really got to relax. The tour is great because it gives you some great history with many people that you have heard of before but did not know were a part of the Okeka lagacy. The restaurant is unbelievable with the quality of food they have - I am entering a separate review on that. It is expensive for the average person, but if you want to treat your significant other to a bucket list of staying at a Castle, this is the place.

We have already been there 4 times this year with friends, and family. It's like a park, forest atmosphere with statues of saints in the woods, the stations of the cross and a place to reflect, to pray, to be grateful. We always bring our sandwishes ,foods, and drinks to relax and appreciate the love surrounding us.

Wonderful small and cozy new spot in Northport. I'm not a beer drinker but would like to try sampler next time. Excellent selection and recommendations of cheeses and was pleasantly surprised that the labeled "honey" that's served with the cheese platters is actually quince paste/jam which a perfect combo with cheese and a staple in my family. We tried a few grilled cheese sandwiches, one with grilled onions was perfect on a multi grain baguette. We will definitely be back
