I've been to Anthony's four times prior to my last dinner and have always been impressed, This time, not as much. As always the place was packed. Service is always excellent and the two singers were very good. The downside this time was the pizza though good, was salty and overcooked. If you go and they attempt to seat you in the back table for two near the bathrooms, wait for another table unless you enjoy people squeezing by as you try to eat.

Neapolitan Inspired Pizza
I was wanting good pizza and the reviews for this place sounded good. It didn't let me down. The menu is full of amazing different pizza combinations. I couldn't choose. Next time I want to try the barbecue chicken one (I'm veggie, but they can do it without chicken). I got the Domenci, I think it was. Very good. Not real strong flavored, but subtly good. The Mista salad was also very good and not anemic-looking. Lots of real greens in it. Service was quick and helpful. The atmosphere feels like a low-key pizza place. Almost a self-service feel. The place is located on Market Street which is a nice place to walk afterwards and not far from the Opera House.

4 of us met here for dinner. Very good food, but I must admit that over the years the service has slipped considerably. Sooo, for us the view was worth the climb because we wanted to talk but a first timer might be turned off.

We were there on Sunday to celebrate belated Motherâs Day. It was late and the place was not crowded at all.In the past we never had any issues at this restaurant, however, Sunday night was the exception.A male brought our drinks and told us our waitress was going to be with us shortly. Well, that did not happen. After 15 minutes, I called another waitress asking her to send our waitress as we were ready to order. She went to the kitchen and cane back after a couple of minutes saying she was taking our order as our waitress was having issues at the kitchen. The appetizers were fine - as usual. The Caesar Salad was terrible, a lot of croutons and not enough lettuce. The Shrimp Fra Diablo was terrible, they just put regular tomato sauce on it, nothing spicy. The sauce actually tasted sweet. Shrimps are called Fra Diablo for a reason, the ones they gave me should have been called Shrimps a la Angel or something like that!We also had the Penne Vodka, it did not look the same as other times. There was not enough sauce on it and it was dry.The waitress never came back to our table to check on us or give us refills. I had to call her twice. We were actually wondering where the Latino waitresses were as they have always been really good and worked really hard.I had to call the waitress and let her know about the Shrimp fra Diablo been sweet, she took it back to the kitchen, then she came back and told me that they changed the sauce because people complaint about the sauce been too spicy. Well, if they decided to change the sauce, shouldnât you mention that on the menu or at least ask the costumer how spicy you want the sauce? I took the shrimps home. When I got home I tried the shrimps and they tasted exactly the same (sweet) except I could tell they added hot pepper flakes to give a hot kick. I was disgusted. I returned the shrimps to the waitress hoping they will make it right, sautéed the right sauce and bring a new dish. Obviously that did not happen. All of us were talking in the car about the poor experience we had, we probably will not go back to this restaurant. We're very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience, and we apologize for any miscommunication on our end. We get super busy on holidays, but even so, we want you to know that this kind of thing is rare. We hope you'll give us the chance to make it up to you. Best, Mimmo

Welcome to Valle Cucina, Delaware's best kept secret for thirty years! Our name suggests Italian, and it is the best around, but we are also known for our seven time "Best of Delaware" award winning 100% jumbo lump crab cakes, seafood dishes and the area'
Food was okay; cheese pizza was good. Lobster mac and cheese seemed reheated and the salads were a good size but lacked dressing and variety. Ravioli's were sloppy and bland. The most memorable experience at Valle was the obnoxious owner. It was a Friday night during lent and we had a table of 8. It was crowded and the place is small. However, we had a bill of over a hundred dollars so I think we could have been treated better. It took 20 minutes to get our drink orders; 2 wines and 6 waters. It took 35 minutes to get 1 appetizer and bread and 50 minutes to get our meal. As soon as our meal was served, the owner began hawking our table obviously looking for us to leave. It was rude. The waitress was nice but the rude owner, slow service and so-so food doesn't warrant a return visit.

My husband has been wanting to try this cafe for pizza. Went tonight. Needed to wait about 20 minutes. Very small cafe, looks like 10 booths/tables. Waited on immediately. Great pace and service. All the wait staff work together as a team to take care of customers. Had pizza and salad. Other meals looked really good too. Would recommend and return.

Ordered 2 pizzas, wings and salad at 5:45 on Saturday night and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Had I seen how busy the interior of the restaurant was, I would have scoffed in disbelief. When I arrived shortly after 6pm, every table was full and there had to be 20-30 people waiting for tables. I went up to take out and to my surprise it was ready and waiting for me. Wouldnât hesitate to order again and would suggest takeout as a viable option even in the busiest of times.

Traveling to visit Winterthur near Wilmington DE. Stopped for a quick lunch and discovered a fantastic restaurant stuck in the back of a strip mall. Many varieties of pizza are ready if you want a quick slice, but after seeing the meals being prepared we opted for a full meal. Calamari was incredibly tasty. The sausage, onion, and roasted peppers was absolutely amazing. The penne arabbiata was phenomenal. Huge portions. Friendly staff. I will drive the 3 hours again just to eat here. By the way. Beyond a doubt the very best gravy, including my own mother's (forgive me ma!)

Three bad meals over the past two months - at the most recent lunch for three, we were seated at a table completely devoid of appetizer plates, a salt and pepper shaker and the flower/light combo that was on the other tables. The burger I have ordered for years with no issues was overcooked again and I realized halfway through the plate that I never got the potatoes that are supposed to be served with the meal. My daughter told me for the first time that the last time she dined at a separate table with a group of teenagers (high school age and driving), two of the personal cheese pizzas arrived with cheese and bread only (no sauce) and when they pointed out the error, the server returned with two small ramekins of warm sauce - they did not offer to re-make the pizzas (!) I would tolerate a few mediocre meals if this was a budget dining destination but it most certainly is not, and the wines in particular are absurdly overpriced for the quality. We are taking a break for now in the hopes that better times (and better service) return. Agree with others that the servers of late have been "too cool" to care if you have a plate, utensils or even the meal you actually ordered.

This is a great place for lunch or dinner in the city of Wilmingtonâs Little Italy area. This is not an upscale dining area but a family style restaurant that reminds you of being in someoneâs dining room. The sauce is delicious. Try the wedding soup and cheese raviolis!
