The restaurant pizzeria La Rustica has always been appreciated for its home cooking, simple and genuine, rooted in the culinary traditions of Lucania. Try the fresh pasta, hand-rolled, the meat dishes carefully selected from certified farms, the typical a

The service at Queen was exceptional and was extremely friendly even though they did not converse much in English. I had tried out their Pizza which was a 7. But I would like to try some other options too the next time. The bartender also gave us some free shots on the house ;)

This trip was with my husband, great friend that speaks Italian and my father to check out the towns his parents were from. A stop in this secret town of Maschito was an experience of a lifetime. We immediately met the nicest people. After a long day of travel from the coast we asked about dinner and were personally walked up to Club Da Micone. There we met the chef and owner (he speaks perfect English) and had the most wonderful meal. Musto Michele brought out different courses explaining not only the source of ingredients but each hand step to create the dish in front of us. We enjoyed the meal with his company and others from the town as well as the local wine. A stop in this town is a must if you are in the area. It just exudes the pride of the folks that live there. Let him know you came to visit and he will treat you with the upmost respect. We can't say enough about his talent as a chef and the love he puts into his preparation.
We are in one of the most beautiful squares of Italy. Here you will enjoy our traditional cuisine from Basilicata for a light lunch: salads, fruit and vegetable extracts, milk shakes, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, tea infusions and natu
Male male male.Non tornerò mai mai mai più.

We had antipasto and pizza with some local wine. No complaints, the food was fine, service was good and it was not expensive. If you keep it simple you won't go wrong.

Very large pizzeria on the outskirts of venosa. We all had the pizza and I would highly recommend it. Pizza maker is an award winning pizzaiolo. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Will return
Where to eat Italian food in Venosa: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Located on 'the other side' of the Venosa Castle, you'd never fund it if locals wouldn't point you in the right direction. They have great outdoor seating, overlooking the back of the castle. Inside it's decorated in a modern style. Modern Italian that is. Or rather, modern small town Italian. This modernity is not reflected in the food. Actually most locals come here for the pizzas. We had a regular meal; nothing wrong with it, all fine, but somehow unremarkable. As a matter of fact I don't remember what we had off the menu. So again, nothing wrong with the place, but not particularly memorable.
