Reviews on Pizza food in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Springfield is perhaps best known as the birthplace of basketball and home of the Basketball Hall of Fame. (The story goes that local physical education teacher James Naismith invented the sport to fill the gaps between football and baseball seasons.) But this historic town on the shores of the Connecticut River is famous for a few other reasons and definitely worth a quick jaunt or weekend away. Springfield was the birthplace and home of beloved children's author and illustrator, Theodore Geisel, Dr. Seuss. In fact, the Zoo in Forest Park, a sure hit with the kids, is said to be the inspiration for many of his wild and wacky tales. Wander through the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, at the Quadrangle, for a look at the Cat in the Hat and Yertle the Turtle cast in bronze. The city served as a major arsenal during the Revolutionary War, a role that is commemorated at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, which displays an enormous collection of small pistols. History buffs will also enjoy the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, a tribute to the ordinary people of the region who, during various periods in time, did extraordinary things.

Very poor customer service! I walked in the door and immediately started getting yelled at about using one of their posted coupon deals! We specifically came to this restaurant from out of state b/c of childhood memories. NEVER AGAIN. Pizza was good but not good enough to ever desire to go back with that kind of treatment. Our friends who live in the area that we met for pizza, now know how awful this place was as well. The owner admitted that he makes the pizza for $3-$5 and refused to give us the deal that would allow us to pay $10. He chose to "eat it", and I chose to walk away with only half my order.

This is a very friendly place in the Pine Point area of Springfield. They have some tables and a busy bar/counter area. The menu features pizza, grinders, and Italian dishes. i often stop for a grinder on the way home. They have a selection of beers and wines. Their pizza is great and the Veal dishes and pasta dishes are very good with a reasonable price. The place is not fancy, but I have always enjoyed myself. I often buy a grinder their when my family is not home The owner is present most to the time and does the bulk of the kitchen and frequently patrols the dining area, making sure that guests are happy..

Lunch was awesome. Big portions on pasta plates and the personal pizza is 4 large slices of pie. And it is all made to order. Great service and very friendly. Will make a return here on my next trip.

A marriage of authentic Italian coastal cuisine from the Almafi Coast with New Englandâs signature style to create the freshest seafood, handmade pastas and true Italian pizzas from chef/partner Adam Sobel in collaboration with Michael Mina and MINA Group
The food is good and are large portions, but you have to wait forever to get your food or the bill. We saw our server, who seemed to also be a manager, taking care of everything else but his table.

Truly a neighborhood family bistro. Small, pleasant dining area and bar; but usually we get take out. The pizza is our favorite in Springfield, but they serve many other wonderful Italian/American items - eggplant/veal/chicken parm., other seafood, chicken & veal dishes. Good, basic pasta; nice side salad (Excellent blue cheese dressing). Almost every night they make dinner specials which are generally what we get - be sure to ask. (As of no, they do not make gluten free pizza...)

The Ferrentino and Gisolfi family have been serving authentic, homemade italian style dinners and hand tossed pizzas in Springfield, MA since 1979. Our menu offers something for everyone in the family! The restaurant includes take-out, a dining room, as w
My three friends and I went to Tony's for 2 reasons - we had a gift certificate and Tuesday and Wednesday nights there is a special. The special is dinner for 4, including bread, salads, and pasta with meat or sausage for $19.99. The portions were more than generous and we got to pick whatever style of pasta we wanted. One in my party had a gluten allergy, so he got special pasta served on his own plate. The rest was served family style from a giant bowl brought to our table. The sauce was flavorable and the sausages were tasty - so much so that we asked where they were made. Turns out the sausages are locally made - as one of us guessed. The pizzas served to another table were enormous - almost the size of the top of a writing desk - for the largest size. WOW!I think we'll be going back during my next visit to Springfield.
Top 10 Bar food in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States
New restaurant with upscale feel. High quality food but the portions are smaller than you could imagine. We tried each of the pizzas. The crust was thin and not too tough, good sauce and excellent flavors. Even clam pizza was good, which is hard to do. The antipasto was extremely tiny for the price but the meats are top notched. We did not try the salad. The decor was wonderful including a long hand made walnut table that is quite masterful. I would go back for the pizza because it is good but be prepared to spend some money.

We have been to Leone's many times and are never disappointed. My favorite meal here is the Roasted Haddock with lobster and sherry cream sauce. It is such a favorite for me that it is the only meal I order. I will peruse the menu and look at all of the other wonderful sounding items but I always fall back to my favorite as I've never seen it on any other menu. My friend has ordered multiple items on the menu and he has enjoyed them all. One of the best restaurants in the Springfield area.

We had not been to Pizzeria Uno in years. The pizza was still excellent and the menu has a lot more variety than year's past. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Convenient if you are staying in the attached Hilton Garden Inn and very close to the Basketball Hall of Fame. A good affordable dining option for your family if you are visiting the area. The food is available as room service to the attached Hilton Garden Inn.
