My wife and I have holidayed all over Italy and we both agreed that La Gigante served pizzas that were as good as we have eaten anywhere. Light and thin pizza dough with fantastic toppings at a great price. We ate here the night before we set off for our 4 day cycling trip around the Salentino and because it was so good we returned on our first night back in Lecce . Great selection of local beers and a good house wine, I had to thank the owners and the pizzaiolo as we left, fantastic.

We visited here two times during our stay in Lecce. We were lucky enough to find a table outside where we enjoyed a beer while my husband went in to order the pizza. All credit to the guys inside who told us that a full pizza would be too big for two persons....they were totally right! They produced our perfect pizza and the proportions were exactly right. Great food, cold beer and an honest approach to customer service. Thank you!Ciao Cat, our work involves passion and this passion guides us in trying to make those who come to see us feel good, being honest is an essential prerogative if we want to try to be always better, we are happy you found yourself well, we hope that in your next trip in Lecce you want to come back again to see us, because as they say, there is no two without three. Amazing value, great pizzas and really nice people! You can have up to 4 different types of pizza on a metre length. Try Mari e monti for a different take on prawn pizza.

Villa Dario is an institution among the Leccesi, and you won't find a tourist within miles of the place. (Mainly because it's only easy to find after the first time you've been there.) Don't be expecting restaurant service, you'll be sorely disappointed. At Villa Dario you head up to the cashier (usually Dario himself), he gives you a sheet to fill out, and you check off the boxes (pizza Margarita, pizza Capricciosa, etc.) along with the quantity of each item. Then do the same with the drink sheet.... and appetizers... get it? Then take the filled out sheets back up to the cashier, he gives you a number, and you get your drinks and antipasti (great bruschetta and fried items) and wait at your table, letting your rowdy kids play with the local brats on the ample playground, until your number is called over the crackly loudspeaker. Then go up and pick up your pizzas, right out of the stone oven, partake and don't forget to bus your own tables at the end. Prices are very affordable, as Villa Dario is more of a philosophy than an actual pizzeria. Two thumbs up from a local!

Gradevolissima scoperta! Da due anni abitiamo lâestate accanto a questo ristorante con piscina e solo questâanno ci siamo decisi a provarlo. Ha cambiato da poco gestione e la cucina è davvero ottima. Il menù presenta pochi ma validissimi piatti, primi, secondi e contorni molto gustosi e ben cotti, il miglior pesce spada alla griglia e grigliata di carne mai mangiate. Le pizze cotte nel forno a legna sono molto buone e ben condite.Servizio curato e personale molto gentile e presente. Consigliatissimo!

Avendo pernottato nelle vicinanze, decidiamo di passare la serata nella piazzetta e di mangiare quindi una pizza da Zazà . Lâattesa per lâordinazione già ti fa intendere lâandazzo... consiglio di mettere qualcosa nello stomaco nellâattesa ordinando delle patatine, non sono male, o un rustico, che non ho provato. à molto frequentata da anziani specialmente se in piazzetta câè intrattenimento musicale. La pizza però è simile a quelle che si comprano surgelate. à sommersa di salsa pomodoro che copre ogni altro ingrediente. Un poâ salata anche e quindi bocciata. Staff stressato e poco cordiale completano il quadro.

Mi ci ha portato una coppia di amici, dicendomi che il locale era spartano ma la qualità e il prezzo buoni!!! Bene Confermo che il locale "se cosi' si può definire" è spartano!!! qualità .....lasciamo perdere!!! prezzo nella media superiore ma decisamente troppo per quello che offre!!!! Servizio.............dimenticatelo!!! Non aggiungo altro ma vorrei capire i NAS dei Carabinieri e la Guardi di Finanza sanno che esiste questo locale!!! Scordatevi R.F. no pagamenti Bancomat POSS solo contanti........Saluti a mai più!!!!!!!!!

Diciamo che leggendo le ultime recensioni mi ero demoralizzata:prenoto o no? Alla fine, su consiglio di una conoscente decido di prenotare e qui, unica nota dolente, la signora che raccoglie la mia prenotazione telefonica :piuttosto apatica e leggermente antipatica e ciò è stato poi appurato personalmente...ma sorvolo. I camerieri molto gentili, soprattutto la ragazza carinissima che ci ha servito. I primi piatti :spaghetti con cozze, linguine con scampi,scrigni con burrata, pizza ai frutti di mare (superottima). Antipasto della casa, cozze gratinate,buono tutto. Complimenti perché nonostante un compleanno con sala gremita, servizio rapido e attenzione al cliente. Bravi. Straconsiglio!

We have travelled around the Puglian province twice now, and this unassuming restaurant has served us with the freshest, most delicious things we've eaten. It is phenomenal value for money: From wood-fired pizza at â¬4 to lobster fettuccine at â¬18 there is something to suit all tastes and pockets. Highlights were also the calamari and prawns and the swordfish carpaccio. We found the service swift and the staff efficient and friendly, and happy to entertain my poor Italian. I cannot understand the bad reviews. If you enjoy fresh sea food, expertly prepared and don't want to eat somewhere pretentious, this is the place.
