Ayant grandi à St-Hyacinthe ce restaurant (situé. à un autre endroit à ce moment là ) faisait déjà parti du décors. La curiosité m'y a ramené. Est ce que j'ai idéalisé cet endroit dans ma jeunesse, est ce que mes goûts ont changé? peut être un peu des deux. rien pour se lancer sur les mur ce resto offre, ceci dit, un produit respectable pour les amateurs du genre. We were staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Express and walked to Normandin for dinner. The waitress was wonderful despite the fact that we had some difficulty communicating since our French is very rudimentary. She intuitively understood what it was that we wanted. Since we are vegan, this is not always easy.We were able to get the very tasty special Fall Squash Soup, a simple salad and a vegetable pizza without cheese. We also had a nice apple pastry for dessert, which was probably not completely vegan but very nice. The restaurant appeared to be popular among the locals. Thank you very much ElleLaJolla, we are glad you enjoyed your moment with us and we hope to see you again!

Staying at nearby Holiday Inn Express & browsing the internet to find nearest local cheese factory ... found Fromagerie Qualité Summum just 2.3 kms away. Upon arrival, we found that this is also a restaurant. Although it was breakfast time, restaurant was just about empty except for one man sitting alone in a booth by the window reading a newspaper, but don't recall if he was even having a meal. Cheese factory is adjacent to restaurant, and fresh cheese is available for purchase at restaurant counter. Purchased a few different bags of fresh curds made earlier today (BBQ, sea salt, regular, etc.). We are quite particular about quality & freshness of cheese curds (as our family was in the retail cheesemaking business several years ago) - we sampled several of these later in the day & determined that they were indeed very fresh curds of the day, they were excellent & far superior to 2 other brands which we had purchased in past 2 weeks in Lévis/St Nicolas area. I prefer to make my own pizza, at home, from scratch. I make the dough and sauce fresh. It's worth the time and effort to get the perfect pizza. Good pizza is hard find; the business is dominated by chains, using factory produced ingredients.Restaurant Roma's claim that they've been making pizza since 1965 is certainly believable. Their crust is obviously hand tossed, and their oven nicely browns the fresh toppings.Their menu seems somewhat jumbled mixing Greek and Italian with hamburgers, sandwiches and Poutine; I guess that they are trying to appeal to every taste. Nonetheless, I would only return for the pizza....likely take-out.

We have drove by this place many of times and finally Tuesday we stopped in for a fast supper and I have to admit the food is great . But the service is just awful we were seated for at least twenty minutes before she even came over and asked us if we wanted anything to drink and then a good ten minutes before she took our order , now if the place would have been busy I would have understood but we were maybe eight people in the restaurant and there were 3 girls working on the floor. We finally got our food and it was well worth the wait , but once again we had to wait for our bill and I finally got up and went right to the cash and asked for the bill ...Once again had to wait because the girl at the cash could not find the bill in the system...Great food very very poor service....Maybe next time it will be better ecasue we will return...

We stopped Chez Jos only for a late afternoon snack. We each took fries in gravy.Fries n gravy are both very good. Restaurant is clean with indoor/outdoor seating. Cheap prices. Excellent portions and friendly service. Will stop again.

Both me and my wife really enjoyed our meal. The spices and sauce were top notch. Menu is varied enough to please every one. The decor is nice. Location is perfect (Hotel, shopping center, highway) Our waitress, Justine, was really professional, fun and made our dinner even more enjoyable. We will eat there again.
