Was hoping for gluten free / seafood pasta. Hardly any seafood and pasta was sticking together. Sauce had no taste. Ordered a SPECIAL, But it had 1 clam and 2 pieces of chorizo !!! I am really sorry you did not enjoy your meal or, more specifically, the two dishes you mentioned. I cannot comment on the scoglio pasta as I was not here but what I can say is that we would never serve a risotto (the special you had) with only one scallop (not clams as you mentioned in your review) and two pieces of Chorizo. Do you honestly believe that we would survive over 13 years if we did serve dishes like that? I am afraid that your statement invalidates your review as it is misleading and inaccurate. We are a good traditional Italian restaurant. We use only fresh, top quality ingredients which we handle with care to produce delicately flavored dishes as you would have them in Italy. If this is not what you expected then you would have been disappointed. It's simply a question of taste and habits.I do wish you lots of flavorful meals for the rest of the year and the one to come. Enjoyed the "San Remo" pizza - a crisp wafer thin pizza base with the standard tomato, mozzarella , pineapple and continental ham. Loved that the pineapple was tinned retaining the sweet pineapple flavour which complimented the salltiness of the ham and the tart tomato perfectly.The other pizza ordered was a "Toscana" of which the finely chopped toppings included mixed peppers, mushrooms and avocado, along with marinated chicken strips which was also very good.The "Focaccia" with mozarella and garlic was enjoyed by the little 'un too.The various pizza options can also be made into a calzone, which is a great option.Service was good, though the food is on the pricey side.

We went to a show on Saturday and wanted a meal in Monte Casino after checking out TripAdvisor who rated at 4.5 stars. Menu choice was disappointing, limited selection to choose from especially the pasta / pizza options. One of our group ordered Calamari but they could offer rice as a starch, only fries or mash potatoes. I requested an alcohol free beer they had no stock. Ordered water instead and the waitron brought a 750ml bottle for a single person. Service was slow and we had to ask for the bill to get to our show in time. Would I recommend this to other diners, unlikely ! The only attraction for a quick fast food type meal is the location. Went here for a meal with my wife and it was such a great experience. It was a Sunday afternoon and we we decided to return to this restaurant after have a good meal here a few months ago. Our waitress was top notch. She was attentive but not obtrusive. Our starters and meals were perfect. We had the calamari starter which is one of the best I have had. The buffalo mozzarella pizza is also really good (but we did wonder if it was real buffalo mozzarella)The Florentine steak is also a winner and I would recommend it to any meat lover. Luca's is an excellent italian pizzeria with good service and great food. Luca is very hands on and ensures his clients have a good time. We were there most recently in November and our booking had been commandeered by another patron. Luca got the crew in action and pulled a table together in a matter of minutes despite being fully booked. The food is excellent, start with the house salad to share and then have the veal danielle. Highly recommended!

This restaurant came highly recommended, and although it was very busy we had both excellent service from our waiter Edson and nice food. The Veal Porcini was rated the best choice of our four meals. We will be back, next time we are in this neck of the woods.
