This was our first time dining upon reading good reviews from trip advisor. As locals, we were not only looking for good food, but a good ambiance as well. We dined outside and were greeted promptly by our server. She offered recommendations and we ordered based on this. Shortly after our food order was placed, she and 3 of her co-workers gathered close to our outdoor table to smoke. I have nothing against the smoking, I just donât want to see my server doing it while patiently awaiting my food. There was another young lady, who I presume to be affiliated with ownership of the company, since she was talking about the best way to go about firing a teammate...while smoking a cigarette and sucking down a beer. Once again, wouldnât there be a better time and a better place to have this conversation and suck down some alcohol and tobacco. The icing on the cake was when our server scooted past our table to deliver our pizza, after smoking and NOT washing her hands. I am appalled and disgusted and sorry to say the food was not good enough to make up for our terrible experience. I sure hope the poor gal who gets fired realizes there are better places to work in the isles.

Greetings! Our menu specializes in Classic American Cuisine inspired by Buffalo NY, (Yes! We have REAL honest- too -goodness Buffalo Wings, fried by genuine north country Buffalonians!) which is where we are from. We offer Grandma Rose's Italian favorites
Our first night in Punta Gorda, we dined here and had a nice meal. The weather was perfect for an outside dinner. The patio was comfortable, food good and service pleasant. The chicken parmesan and pasta were enjoyable. This turned out to be nice location for a local dinner.

Punta Gorda's first authentic Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Established in 1983. Simply said "the best Italian food and pizza around". Ask anyone! Voted Best Pizza year after year by the Harbor Style Magazine Readers. Happy Hour daily 3-7pm. Lunch spec
Ordered take-out because the first restaurant we were going to order from closed at 9 pm. The pizza was good and did not disappoint, however, being lactose intolerant, I had to order a sub sandwich. That's where the disappointment came in. The sub selection was very limited - in my experience, most restaurants have turkey subs, but Monty's did not. Will probably order another pizza from here, but that's about all.We always love hearing from our customers, and love hearing how much you enjoyed our pizza. While we have several different sub/hero sandwiches, we apologize for turkey not one of them, âbut we appreciate the feedback. Thank you for the review, and please come back again soon!

We brought our friends with us, as they had not been here before. We all ordered different beers, pretzels and a pizza to share. They loved it like we do. Great selection of beers to choose from and the food pairings go well with any beer. Our friends said they probably would not have found this place as there is no large sign and itâs off the main road. We all had an enjoyable time and will return. Friendly and attentive staff also.

A staple of Charlotte County since 1990. Award winning Pizza and Italian cuisine in a family friendly environment .
took family for dinner, crowded restaurant. Tables are way too close together. Not a lot of seating at all, oh and the flies..... There were a ton of flies in the restaurant flying over our food. When we got out pizza by the first look it looked okay. But when you pick it up to eat it was 100% soggy. Just a nasty crust. Not impressed at all and there are a lot more options in the area to have good pizza.

Several visits in the past, time for a review. Choice of dated seating inside or decent patio, mind you the odd idling car might be around. Menu choices are broad, Italian and Greek.Chicken parmigiana is a favourite. Hot, authentic, and tasty. Salad is fresh. Also had lasagna on previous visits. It's very good too. Tried shish kebab this time. Not on the skewer, interesting. Seemed like stir fry. Portions for price are small so be prepared. Service is friendly.

We stopped by very recently and had a very pleasant experience. The service was good and the food was delicious. My husband had Manhattan Clam chowder and he really enjoyed it. We were served freshly baked bread and was great. We shared a pizza and it was really good. Very good time, good service and we'll be back soon.

Although we are into our seventh year in Punta Gorda, this was our first visit. Friends have raved about this place and also mentioned it doesn't have much atmosphere. Who cares? The food was superb. My wife and I ordered the veal parmigiana....she with fettuccine....me with spaghetti noodles. The owner recommended a Chianti to pair with the dinner.....Chianti Classico....and it was perfect. Over the years each of us have had veal parmigiana in many Italian restaurants, but tonight's meal was the absolute best we have ever tasted. We ordered a cheesecake for takeout (absolutely no room left for anything) and will enjoy it later tonight or tomorrow. Along with some tasty veal parmigiana leftovers.
