Among the better known restaurants in Poprad. Was there with family and friends. Tried their Halusky, a Slovak National Fish but found it a bit dissapointing. Their version of crepes was great. Went down well with Kofola, a version of Coke from the Communist times. Nice ambience with pleasant staff.

La Gamba Restaurant is located near the cable car boarding station in Bachledova Valley. It offers a varied menu of pizzas, pasta and local cuisine. Also cocktails, cold and hot drinks, as well as excellent coffee and beer from the local brewery Kalteneck

From the welcome on arrival and atmosphere to the faultless food and beautiful view on High Tatras. Staff is very friendly and helpful, speak several languages including German and Polish.If you want to relax and enjoy good food after trip to the Bachledka, this restaurant is the right one! The view is incredible and food matches it. You can get several dishes from pizza, burger, pasta, salads to the very tasty local food. There is also good choice of beer, wine, cocktails and delicious cakes (strudel, pancakes, homemade cakes, ice cream...)Fair prices and quick service.We will definitely come back. Highly recommend :)

Yum.I've had marginal Slovak pizza, good Slovak pizza, fantastic Slovak pizza ... and this was solidly good. Edging towards fantastic, but not quite there yet.Nice location and atmosphere, lots of seating available and natural exposed wood made things feel cozy and cabin-esque. Pool tables in the middle of the restaurant and a medium-sized TV for hockey on the wall, but nothing made it feel too "sports bar".Both Saris and Gambinus beer options on tap, both good and cold. Normal prices for beer.Pizza is definitely their strength, though they have the normal pasta/meat/salad options for those who so choose. Fantastic pizza selection, and 3 sizes to choose from (saw a large go by and it was HUGE), husband and I were mostly satisfied by one small, though I was pushing for another ... ;) Not sure if they have English menus, but most of the names should be identifying enough. Good prices, good portions, great gathering place for a group/family. Recommend it and will visit again with relish.

Nice casual restaurant in the square, seems to cook until late at night. They have a great pizza oven and do huge variety of pizza which is perfectly cooked. Whilst we only had pizzas we will be returning as the other dishes looked nice too. The restaurant was very busy and we went but eery time when we got attention of the waitress she attended to us whilst keeping an eye on her tables. Good prizes too and selection of beers and hot drinks.

A lovely family run restaurant, totally authentic with quick and friendly service.Highly recommend any of the pasta dishes with the pasta made on site, also a very good Vitello Tonnato!!Prices very good.Final word: very friendly service :)

The restaurant is situated above the supermarket at one end of Stary Smokovec. We visited 3 times during our week-long stay and were always impressed with the quality of food on offer. The restaurant itself is very functional and lacks atmosphere but we found the staff to be friendly enough, the service quick and efficient and the food was all very tasty and nicely presented; I highly recommend the tuna salad.

I visit often for pasta or pizza. You can easily build some pizza of your own taste there. They serve their own pasta and offer couple of burgers also. The menu is not large, yet the food is always tasty. You can pick some good house wine with it and two or three types of beer.

We arrived at the restaurant because of a recommendation and yet we were surprised by the amazing quality. The service is just wonderful, kind and courteous. The food was really tasty. And the price is really not high. Highly recommend you will have a great experience on your trip.
