We had read some good reviews on Parsippany's Best Pizza, so decided to check them out. We ordered Pizza Fries, Salad, and a Pizza. We waited in their seating area, which was a bit tight, but it was no biggie since it wasn't crowded. All of the food we received was good, especially the Pizza Fries. They top their Pizza Fries with Pepperoni, which I had never seen before. They were delicious. It gave me a few ideas that I will try at home sometime. The people working there were also nice, so it turned out to be a positive experience.Hey Hockpooh, We are so happy and delighted you enjoyed our food especially our pizza fries! :) Thank you for giving us a chance and we hope to see you again soon!

So this place was a mixed bag for me. The service and food were great! My wife and I also enjoyed that it is BYOB. The biggest downside to me was the dining room. You enter through an odd set of tinted doors from the pizzeria, which to me seemed odd. From there the lighting is way too bright. An easy enough fix with a dimmer. Really, the way it is set up now there isn't any ambience, which is paramount during a good Italian meal.

Coney Island Wood Fired Pizza, Located in Riverdale, NJ Specializing in Wood Fired Pizza and Specialties. Also, Available for Catering our Mobile Brick Oven is the perfect addition to any event!
The selection of individual pizzas is extensive. The prices medium, but the quality high. All are made to order from fresh dough - and the assortment of toppings extensive. There are also a few pastas, and some salads - but the reason to come here is the pizza. They do catering, and also operate a food truck that goes out to community events etc.

Weâre on the road for 6 hours and decide to stop at this âfamily friendlyâ restaurant. There are 5 of us and very tired and hungry. Two tables of 4 are open. They say they canât seat us for 25 minutes! What kind of a restaurant turns down business??? We left and will not return even though we pass the exit many times per year.
Located on busy route 23 in Pompton Plains, next to a Goodwill store, offers great tasting pizza, as well as Italian dishes. Seating inside or outside, waitresses are friendly, service a wee bit slow, at least our waitress was, but we were not in a hurry. BYOB, there is a liquor store across the highway, and others close by. Parking is in lot out front. Prices were very good for Italian food.
AJ's Pizza just recently opened up a new location in the building that used to be Papa John's just last year. We tried them out for the first time the other night when we ordered two pies. The pizzas were very good and they also gave us about eight free garlic knots. I honestly have to say they were probably the best garlic knots I ever had. They were still warm, nice and soft and loaded with garlicky goodness. Thanks for the knots AJ's!

My husband and I have eaten at the Pizza Man many times. We always go back for their delicious dishes. The name of this place is very deceiving...it's not your ordinary pizza place but a restaurant with many delicious meals. Alladin, the owner, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and puts together dishes with a special touch. Today, we had the mussels with spaghetti. Sounds ordinary??? Yes, but you have to taste it to know it is not. It was well prepared and was very flavorful. Delicious! We have had other dishes there, which are many, and were never disappointed. We will keep coming back!

I was working with a business colleague who wanted an earlier dinner and so this place was open. (The fancier restaurant with a different menu opens at 4:30 but it was 4pm so we went here). My colleague ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and he said it was good. I ordered the Flounder Franchise and it was also good. You can get a side of pasta or extra veggies I choose the veggies. It was a good portion and just the right amount of sauce. You gotta have enough sauce ! They have expresso and cappuccino of which we both had and enjoyed. The also have some great Italian desserts but we did not try any. Overall, the food was good and service was good as well. By the time we were leaving they were quite busy with take out orders, so the place can get busy. If you are in the area give them a try.

The Department stopped here for a solo lunch visit. These often consist of a stop for a quick bite not expecting much but found this gem. When trying new pizza places, the Department always gets a slice of plain pizza. This is a good indicator of the quality of pizza without being compromised by excessive toppings. V&J passed all tests of plain pizza with flying colors! Crossed with just the right amount of crisp, cheese that bit without being chewy or stringy and sauce that was not too sweet or chunky. The Department also sampled a specialty pizza which consisted of a thick (but not Sicilian-thick) grilled eggplant, roasted red peppers and a balsamic drizzle. The pizza tasted very fresh and not like it was sitting on a rack forever waiting for somebody to buy a slice. The balsamic was sweet without overpowering the slice and the eggplant was grilled just right which provided a firm bite without excess moisture. I wish this place was closer because I would go here weekly just for the slice! The Department observed many eateries in this plaza but do not be skewed by their presence. Go to V&J for a slice, you wonât be disappointed.
