Constant Companion and I had just toured Paestum with our culinary group, which had arranged for an afternoon at La Vecchia Quercia! The setting is stunning located in the mountains neighboring the renowned Montevetrano Winery of sister, Silvia. There are several options to visit as there is a B&B with pool, bistro, personalized cooking classes, and wedding events to tempt your interest. We were present for lunch and what a meal we were presented: pizzelle, buffalo mozzarella balls, panzarotti with ricotta, home ravioli with potato and sausage-butter & herbs, beef en croute, caprese salad, sfogliatelle di mele(apples, chocolate and almonds), and generous pours of Montevetrano vinos. Assolutamente delizioso!!!

Frequesto questo posto da quindici anni, ci si andava l'estate a godere il fresco con i compagni di scuola. Da allora non è cambiato quasi niente: cucina tradizionale, servizio essenziale, carne gustosa, pasta fresca da leccarsi i baffi. Forse è rimasto il ristorante dei sabini veraci che scappano dai luoghi diventati turistici.

Caspita che sorpresa... non avrei mai immaginato che avrei trovato a Gavignano, un piccolo paese della Sabina , una pizza tanto buona...eravamo in nove e volevano mangiare dei primi piatti, abbiamo preso un tagliere di pizza solo per antipasto ma era talmente buona che ne abbiamo preso un altro. Tutti i gusti sono risultati buonissimi ma quella con radicchio gorgonzola e pere lâho trovata davvero eccezionale. I primi piatti sono risultati tutti davvero buoni, pasta fatta in casa e tutto preparato al momento. Anche i vari supplì sono stati allâaltezza del resto. Dolci e liquori buonissimi hanno concluso una cena davvero buona.... bravi bravi, anche il cameriere , simpatico e disponibile. Ci torno di sicuro

Siamo stati in questo ristorante consigliati da amici e dobbiamo dire che ci hanno consigliato bene!Bella location soprattutto per cerimonie, varie salone, un misto tra rustico ed elegante.Servizio molto professionale e attento alle esigenze dei clienti.Cibo ottimo, ben servito e ottima qualità degli ingredienti.Spettacolare la millefoglie ai frutti di bosco.Con una bella giornata si stava divinamente anche negli spazi allâaperto.

We had a surprisingly delicious seafood lunch at his restaurant, while dinning Al Fresco. You could not feel more like an Italian!The meal was excellent, but two standouts were the mussels and the seafood salad. They were both delicious and eye-catching in the presentation. The amounts were also a fairly good value for the cost. (The one item that was not a group favorite was the bread, deep fried fish. The batter was a little too thick.) The local wines only added to a wonderful and special meal.

We stopped in Poggio for a week and ate here twice. The decor inside is excellent and the service and food equally good. Really good pasta dishes and pizza. Reasonably priced and good value for money. One evening my wife ordered a pasta dish that was really bitter (I'm sure it was meant to taste like it did but when I say really bitter (piquant) I mean really really bitter) She could only eat about a third of it. The waitress Emanuela noticed and ensured we were not charged for the dish. So all in all a very good place and as for Emanuela's smile - it was a thing of great beauty.

A very pleasant local restaurant and definitely good enough to warrant a trip from a neighbouring village. It can get busy though, so consider booking. Good value, friendly staff and i reccommend it. By the way the fragole tiramisu may be pushing the definition of tiramisu - no coffee or alcohol seemed to be involved - but it was delicious.

Visited Peter Pan 3 times whilst on holiday in Poggio Mirteto. There's every pizza you can think of - around 200 in total, even dessert pizzas ! Lovely pasta dishes, too. Everything very tasty and in a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Very reasonably priced and nice wines. A couple of shots along with the owner when the bill is paid, too !
