We travelled to Pistoia for the day and we're looking for a place for a drink. We came across this restaurant and after looking at the menu decided to have lunch. What a fantastic decision, the service wonderful, the food out if this world, the complimentary bread was oven baked and devine. The owner was over seeing everything that came out of the kitchen and this showed how proud he was of the food. It was worth the 40 minute train ride just to have lunch!

Myself and ten friends were on an exchange trip from Ireland to Pistoia Italy and we came across this gem of a restaurant on our first night out.None of us had any Italian so it was going to be a little difficult ordering but then in came Michaela .She had Irish friends and so had a lot of understanding of English, she made our visit to her restaurant a very nice experience indeed .She literally could not do enough for us and even though the place was packed she always had time for us.We left there that night really happy and satisfied .I would recommend the grilled cockerel but We did go back several times over the three weeks we were there and were never disappointed no matter what we ordered.I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant.Thank you very much Michaela and staff for your service and patience .Your 11 new Irish friends .xxThank you soooo much for your comments !!! This takeaway/self-service pizza place is just splendid. In the middle of a residential neighbourhood far away from tourists, it offers superb pizzas sharply priced. We discovered it on the last night of our stay in pistoia, and regretted that we didn't find it sooner.

Restaurant Osteria la Cantinetta is located in the center of Pistoia, a historic town just a few kilometers from Florence, Tuscany. The menu includes, meat and traditional Tuscan dishes.
Together with two colleagues, we had an excellent time at "La Cantinetta". The atmosphere was cosy, the service was attentive, and our dishes, although not extremely generous in their amount, tasted very good.I had the onion soup for starters - it came disguised as a cup of cappuccino, with cream of foam over it and a small parmigiano cookie next to it. For a main dish I had the rabbit rolls, which was savory and delicious. I liked the display of the dished and the was they got a "twist" over traditional Italian dishes.

We spend two nights at Pistoia and the first night we went to Luna Rossa. We just loved it! Pizzas and antipasti were delicious. The 'Dolci" were great and the young ladies who served the tables (sisters???) were so polite, fun and helped us choose from the menu, that we really enjoyed our dinner. The Pizzeria was full with people young and older who looked to enjoy there food. We had a great time and went again the next evening for our second dinner in Pistoia. Luna Rossa is one of the best places in Tuscany!!! Thanks again ladies!!!!

Upon reading trip advisor reviews we sought out dinner on our way home from a long day of touring. This restaurant is tucked in a local neighborhood away from the tour spots. The restaurant is casual and food was excellent and unbelievably reasonable in price! Though the owner and waitress didn't speak English very well or at all, we were able to communicate just fine. It's quaint and the food was perfect for our family of 5 (kids 13, 11, 8) thank you for a great family dining experience !Dear SirsThanks to your great family for your visit. We are very happy to know you have appreciated our food and our service. And we hope to see you again!Best regardsAmici di Malù

Driving from Florence to our rented House near Castelnuova di Garfagna. Feeling hungry so look for advice at Tripadvisor. Near the A11! Lovely restaurant. Waiter and waitress very nice people. English speaking. Prosecco as reception. Beautiful and delicious dishes. Unexpected but worth a few more miles! Very good value for your money!Paul/PaoloThanks PaulWe are happy to have met your expectations.tinaspettiamomnuovamente.Andrea and simona
