We were passing through Canastota and looking for a lunch spot. The New York Pizzeria fit the bill. Several in our party ordered pizza slices which were available for purchase from a display case. We witnessed the staff tossing unsold pizza slices so you know the slices are fresh. I had the chicken parmigiana sub which was wonderful. The calzones and strombolis also looked delicious but we didn't order any. You order your food at the counter and the staff will bring it to your table. Seating is limited and it appears a lot of their business is take out. Soft drinks are available for purchase and are stored in a cooler next to the service counter. We all enjoyed our food and had a great visit to the beautiful town of Canastota.
I love wicked good pizza and often grab a snack while at Yellow Brick Road Casino or Turning Stone. They have a great variety of slices and the price is cheap. They don't charge per toppings so it allows you to try different slices. My husband tried the lasagna pizza slice and loved it.
This was the last place on my list that I wanted to try while in the area. Great little family owned joint. Had a chance to meet the owner and she gave me some background on the place. At one time it was a bar, then became a pizzeria decades ago and then they bought it over 12 years ago. They make their own bread for the sandwiches and subs, cut/ shred their own cheese and make everything from scratch. Had a big old meatball sandwich that was fantastic! They serve pizza by the slice and it seems to be a huge hit with locals. There were so many people walking in grabbing a slice and driving off. Has to be good. Prices are very reasonable. It's an older place but don't let the appearance fool you. There is no need to change when the food is this good. It's a cool place and reminded me of old restaurants back in the 70's when I was growing up. Please stop in a try the food! You will drive right by it and not notice it, so look closely. It's located right across the street from the old factory.
As long as you don't special order something, it's a great convenience. However, we once ordered a special crazy bread, we then waited 20 minutes, and the guy running the place came out and told us they forgot to even put it in.

Usually my goto restaurant for wings in Oneida. Their sauces are very good and prepared properly not just hot sauce poured over them. Their pizza is excellent as well. They have a very diverse menu also.
they moved into a brand new building and the food and service are as good as ever, eat in or take out. Only drawback is they do not accept any credit cards, which is very strange in this day and age.

We happened on this restaurant when looking for pizza on a Sunday drive, and were resplendently surprised with Pepi's pizza. We got one of their specialties and found it loaded with generous toppings.
