Things to do in Oak Forest
This location has been a bar & restaurant for longer than I can remember, but this most recent carnation is by far the best!! My wife and I decided to check it out a couple of months ago and have returned at least a half a dozen times. Their menu is large and diverse. My personal favorites include fish & chips, Philly Steak and their pizza, but everything that leaves the kitchen is artfully prepared. This music venue features music for just about everybody, from; blues, to heavy metal, and classic rock. They are good at finding convincing tribute bands, in particular a recent Pink Floyd tribute band. They have an incredible beer garden that they enclose in winter. They keep it very cozy, regardless of the weather. It has a full service bar and pool table. Feel free to smoke a cigarette or cigar. On Thursdays they conduct FreeN'Fun Bar BINGO. This is a game conducted by a local company. The game is free to play and offers incredible prizes and jackpots up to $10,000!!!We are thrilled that we found Cheers. We visited just by chance, and quickly became regulars.

Ordered angle hair pasta with olive oil, garlic and goat cheese.. No goat cheese in the restaurant.. How about mozzarella.. only chunks no shredded.. Pasta came out watery as though it wasn't drained properly.. Pasta was barley warm chunks of cheese did not melt... Could not taste olive oil possibly because of the watery pasta and there was no sign of garlic... Been coming to this location for 20 years and this was the worst.. Have they changed owners recently like Foxes in Orland???

The business model is simple order some slices to go and pick them up at the window. Don't let the drive thru fool you though, the pizza is tasty and good quality. I recommend the thin crust cheese. Also contrary to the name, you can order full pizza's here as well. I recommend for anyone who wants a quick and well made pizza to go.

The pizza was worth the drive from downtown Chicago. We have tried many pizza places and this is truly the best tasting deep dish I have had. It is tender thick yet crispy on the bottom. The sauce is full of tomato flavor. The atmosphere is family friendly but also good for a special occasion. I was skeptical of the drive but so glad we went.
I have been going to Kenootz Pizza for over 25 years..they make the best pizza pie's in the south/s.w. suburbs..Ken who owns the place, has a great staff that works for him..very friendly & outgoing..willing to help you with your choices of pizza pie's.they do have an eat-in dining area for small to large gatherings for b-day parties & other gathering's..& if you wish, they have a seperate room for other gathering's..Monday's are 1/2 price take-out..dine-in, carry-out, or delivery available..over the years, I have had many of Chicago's pizza's...I would personally say they are One of the Best..try them..you won't go wrong @ Kenootz.

What sets Aurelio's apart from other Chicago-style pizza? We're different because we use only quality ingredients, serve a variety of generous sizes, and specialize in customizing orders to suit each individual taste. Since 1959, the Aurelio family has be
I remember the first Aurelio's Pizza. A native of south suburban Blue Island, I was a freshman at the University of Illinois when Aurelio's opened its first pizza parlor at 2041 Ridge Road in Homewood in 1959. Four tables, a small kitchen and one pizza oven. It wasn't much and there weren't high expectations. But pizza was an up-and-coming delicacy in those days and friends in Chicago Heights recommended that we give it a try. I wasn't a big pizza fan in those days but I recall that Aurelio's made a favorable impression on me. Well, Aurelio's has come a long way since then. In 1976, it opened the world's largest pizzeria, a 16,000-square-foot flagship restaurant at 18162 Harwood Avenue in Homewood. Now there are locations all over the Chicago area, also Peoria, northwest Indiana, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, even Las Vegas. I recently met some old classmates and colleagues at Aurelio's location at 15901 Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park. No, we didn't have pizza. Instead, we enjoyed other tasty items on the menu...hot wings, chicken tenders, garlic bread, pizza bread, Italian beef, spaghetti, mostaccioli, beef ravioli, meatball sandwich and extra helpings of the deep dish cookie, a half-pound chocolate chip cookie baked like deep dish pizza and smothered with vanilla ice cream. Next time, we'll order a couple of 18-inch thin crust pizzas with sausage, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.

We went to a concert at Tinley park and stopped here ahead of time. Wow we were pleasantly surprised. The beer selection and quality was amazing! Food was good as well. We had a waitress who was actually from Ireland which made the experience even more authentic! Don't judge a book by its cover - give this place a chance

We arrived in town and I saw the review and decided we had to try it. We got a seat in the bar area. There were various TVs around but the sound was down. The waitress showed up and I told her we had no idea as to what was the best to order. She suggested the meatball appetizer. --- DoneWe then ordered two different Italian dishes. Way too much food. The meatballs were very good. The appetizer is 15 (I think) small meatballs with sauce (gravy) and cheese. Very tasty. We finished half of them. The meals were good too and, of course, we took food to our daughter's for her to have leftovers.Best was the chef came out to chat with us and others. I always like that they come out and see what people think of their dishes. I'm glad we went.

We have been coming here for years but never had the pleasure of having friends and family in for the family style banquet. So much to select from and very fairly priced. We ordered the salad. Italian beef. Fantastic. Fried chicken addictive. Mashed potatoes and gravy. Pasta Mixed vegetables. Included was buns for the beef and garlic bread. ALL homemade no instant anything. And it was so good. Next time you have a gathering one here you wonât be disappointed
