All the best pizza in Western MA is down in Springfield and East Longmeadow. Red Rose, for instance, is world class. If you are in the Northampton area, you must adjust your expectations downward. Ninis in Easthampton is almost certainly the best local choice, but it can be a haul for those in the hilltowns. So for those pizza nights where time is at a premium.... Pizza Factory is reliably good. Whole wheat crust is a nice option. Sauce isn't too sweet. Note: this is 99% take out. There is seating for exactly 2 people in the establishment itself.
I love the pizza in this place. It's one of the best in Florence. The cooks there are always really nice and just very pleasant. I've never had a bad experience when I go in to pick up my food. I did get food delivered at work once and that took forever.
Needing a break from the job as much as a fulfilling meal, I chose Papa Ginos for lunch on Tuesday 5/10/16. I was craving spaghetti and meatballs, and the $6.99 lunch menu fit the bill. The manager asked if I'd like to add a salad for $1.49 more and even had thousand island dressing so I was elated, and commented that I may need a nap after the meal. It came to my table 5 minutes later with 3 pizza strips for bread, and I was filled by meals end. I was one of two diners at 11:30 am, and can't comprehend why they are not busier. They never disappoint.

This is an AMAZING pizza, late-night, live-music and coffee spot that should be on the list!
Unfortunately we ordered two large pizzas while friends were visiting. I was thoroughly embarrassed. The crust tasted like cardboard. Dry, hard and tasteless. Years ago this place had decent pizza, not great but good. How they've let their quality take a nosedive is beyond me. How difficult is it to make a good crust? Why don't we have killer pizza in Northampton???

This is a hidden little gem of a place. They have the best pizza's foot long grinders/sub sandwiches & if you spend $8.00 they will deliver to your hotel, apartment, etc. The food is just awesome! Give it a try & you won't regret it. It's location is on Green Street close to Easthaven hot tubs & Smith College. Pretty close to the center of town. I actually had it delivered to me.

Four of us stopped by at 6 PM on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly with the place about 2/3 filled. We were there for pizza. The menu is broad and the pizza selections are many, with an ability to build your own from a substantial list of ingredients. Two of us shared a Greek salad. It was crisp, substantial in size and had a lot of good feta. Unusual it had some sliced ham and pepperoni on top. There was no Greek dressing available, but a large selection of other options. We opted for a large pizza and opted for three toppings - one set of three on one half of the pizza and another on the other half. No problem with that. The pizza came and it was very good. One thing that made it good was the perfection of the crust - nice and crunchy on the bottom, no hint of being burned, and medium in thickness. We asked for broccoli on one half and were happy to see that it was chopped into small pieces so that it was not singed. We also asked for mushrooms. some were there, but not too many. There was plenty of cheese - a bit more than I like, but this is not a fault of the restaurant. The service was excellent - efficient, cheerful and professional, but friendly. This was our first experience and we will return. All in all a very pleasant place, relaxing, with good service and good pizza.
Top 10 Italian food in Northampton, Massachusetts, United States

It's clear that they use high quality ingredients in their fresh pizzas. The slices are large and reasonably priced with a great crust. One of my favorites is their salad pizza- just loaded with fresh veggies including artichokes, kalamata olives, and just about any other veggie you can think of. Ask for a side of marinara sauce and it's sublime. One slice is big enough for a whole meal for $5. Great place. I like the family who runs it, the line moves quickly, and it's great when you're on the run.

Maybe because we were starving but Robertoâs was more than up to the task of serving a delicious meal to my family. We literally spent all day traveling so weâre ready for real food. Although known for their Italian I had their salad and clam chowder, and it was darn good clam chowder, rich in clams and potatoes. My daughterâs calzone was equally rich and tasty, not to mention huge. The cheesy bread also lived up to its name. My son-in-lawâs meatball grinder was tasty too. Great service on a crowded night too, Robertoâs really nailed it.

What a classic! Joe's has been nestled into the neighborhood, within comfortable walking distance from all over Northampton, for a looooong time! It's a favorite for locals and a blast from the past for people who used to live in the area. There are a few rooms so there is plenty of seating and an entertaining bar. The pizza is amazing with a couple different smaller sizes which is nice if you're at the bar. The pasta dishes are excellent. The menu has several dishes to choose from with daily specials. Great service. Just a fun, local, popular, classic, family owned decent place to eat and visit with friends. Definitely want to go back. Did I mention the pizza is amazing?!?
