I live in Ridgewood and have been searching for the best pizza around our town. I was happy to find Johnâs boy pizzeria. The pizza was delicious. The pie had a flavorful sauce, good amount of cheese and very nice crust. The crust was little firm on the bottom, but nice and soft top. Please note that they do not take credit cards, so make sure you bring cash.

Don't let the photo on the page fool you, that is not Hawthorne's Best. The real Hawthorne's Best is a small, easy to miss hole in the wall. A little worn about the ears, the pizza is one of the better ones in the area. Nothing to go way out of your way for, but with all the mediocre pizza in northern NJ it's nice to find a place that is a cut above most. I haven't ventured deep into the menu, but have had the sausage parm and Italian sub and they are as good as any similar place.

Our host stopped for lunch on a week day and I picked the large Ricotta Mozzarella Pepperoni Stuffed pizza. The special unleavened thin crust was perfectly baked with the right amount of high quality stuffing which had a million dollar aroma. Every bite was a delight to savor and everyone lauded my order choice.

Tried everything from the pizza to the parmagiana. Very good food at good prices. I love their specials, never had a bad experience. We ate there and take out. Quality and quantity is there and everyone there is really nice.

I love eating at Kirker's. This place has good food and excellent service! The thin crust pizza is delicious! I highly recommend this place for German Food, home style cooking and tartufo the ice cream desert! If you get Melissa as your waitress, she is very attentive and the best waitress we have ever had.

Was in the area and didnt know better. I do now. Haledon, really Paterson. Nasty little area. Guess the WP students with little money go to this horrible place. The pizza was gross and my friends sub was equally unediable. Since they make you pay first, good luck if you dont like the slop they call food.Why are you in Haledon in the first place?Stay away.

Worked late and it was a last minute option based on friends recommendation. It's a none distinct place, you could drive by a hundred times (as I have) and never notice it's there. You walk into a Yankee memorabilia reception area which is great just looking at all the pictures. The menu was extensive, I just ordered what ever was on the daily specials. Considering that you can easily miss this place they had an "EXCELLENT VARIETY of DISHES". I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We came for dinner. It was our first time here. We were seated quickly and started with the homemade rice ball. It was very good and filled with cheese, beef and vegetables. We shared a pepperoni and garlic pizza as well. Also very good. It is an old school tavern so don't expect anything remotely fancy, however it was worth the trip.

A while back, Brother Bruno's had a Bagel & Deli location and a separate Pizza location. Now they are both under the same roof. So choose from you favorite bagels and spread, to Deli Sandwiches, Pizza, and other Italian dishes, all in one location. I have had their bagels and coffee and their pizza slices, and all were very good. It is close to the campus of William Paterson University, and to a local hospital, so it is not uncommon to see students and hospital staff stopping by for lunch. It is also a favorite stop for the local police department. Decent food, quick service, take out or dine in, and clean rest rooms, all at reasonable prices. That about sums up Brother Bruno's Pizza, Bagel & Deli!

Heard about a new pizza place in North Haledon that delivered. Gave it a try with a small, basic order. One large cheese pie, half pepperoni. It's a fifteen minute drive from my location and as expected it was not as hot as we would have liked when it arrived. Five minutes in a 350 degree oven and it was nearly burn the top of your mouth hot. The crust was crisp and the cheese oozing. In true Italian style, the slices of fresh mozzarella -- the only mozzarella they use -- were scattered across the pie exposing the tomato sauce in places. The sauce had a fresh tomato flavor, a bit sweet for my taste, though still a whole lot better than most take out. The next time -- and there will be a next time -- I order from Jersey Pizza in North Haledon, I would order the same pizza -- this time American style with extra cheese. And have a hot oven ready when the pizza arrives.
