After arriving at our nearby hotel we were dropped here to get lunch. It was a nicely appointed place and the food was better than I expected.Tasty bruschetti, excellent seafood salads and rissottos, and lots of fresh, tasty bread to accompany the meal. Why the name I have no idea.

We have been going to Calabria for ten years now, and I think we have eaten at this place almost every time, because it is right off of SS18 at mile marker 357-56. In fact, this is where I had my first pizza with tuna and the local red onions, and it is now my fave pizza anywhere I roam in Southern Italy. The proprietor is Armando, and he is a very nice and generous guy. He has let us use his own computer to check email when we did not have ours, and this May and June we used his wifi with our tablet. He is open almost every day, but closed some Tuesdays when it is not beach season. I recommend the grilled swordfish, which is cut nice and thin and topped with the local oregano, and if they have it you must certainly get the homemade agnolotti in a red sauce with grouper [cernia] and shrimp. This spring, they also had an excellent local specialty, anduja, which is a finely minced mix of spicy peppers and vegetables and lean pork. You can get it on the bruschetta or they will even add it to your pizza ... and it goes great with the tuna and onions. This is a nice place with locals hanging out for caffe in the morning and you will feel very welcomed, even if you don't opt for the breakfast Peroni!

à conosciuto oltre che per l'ottima pizza anche come "da Zio Pino"...sul biglietto da visita c'è scritto traversa Lungomare, Falerna (CZ) 096897041
A good pizza to eat in Falerna. Not the best place but a good one. The Master Pizzaiolo is sonetimes fun sometimes cold....The service is not very good but the overall vote is good. What is cery good is the Antipasto and the Pepata di Cozze (white and very big mussels...).Ask of Zio Pino when you arrive there

Best meal on our trip.Full of locals which says something.Fish ,pasta ,pizza menu .Pasta best I've ever had ,superb service .The only 'but' is that it is an outside covered area,no air conditioning so gets very hot .If it hasn't been our last night would have love to have gone back .

A renovated restaurant which is very fantastic. Clean and so quiet! Staff is very friendly. Food is very Good: there is a variety of tasty dishes about meat and fish. I highly recommend it to all.
Local that bases its kitchen and its oven exclusively on the quality of the products, the genuineness is guaranteed 100%. You can taste tasty pizzas and typical Calabrian dishes enjoying the cozy location located in the historic center of Falernese.
Friendly staff, good food, exceptional prices for the quality of the food. Will definitely return for another meal before I depart Falerna. Need to go back and try their Calabrese specialties.

We stumbled upon this place, excellent restaurant, large, traditional. Big menu with all the specialties you could expect on the Calabrian coast. Maybe not a great place but nevertheless a good, good place!

While traveling thru Calabria I came across this wonderful eatery on Trip Advisor. We both order the recommended pasta al Forno. It was excellent! The cooked green vegetables and fresh buffalo mozzarella were very good. The ambiance was characteristic and the service were very good. Will I return again... YES!
