à una pizzeria situata nel centro storico di Mottola, sono andato a cena con amici, non avevamo prenotato ma il cameriere ci ha fatto accomodare subito ad un tavolo allâaperto. Da bere ho preso la birra Raffo, una birra tipica pugliese, mentre da mangiare dei panzerotti al forno come antipasto e una pizza fuori menù, che sono stati disponibili a farmi; pizze cotte col forno a legna, davvero buonissime; Personale gentile e cordiale, tempi di attesa nella media e ottimo rapporto qualità -prezzo. Per il pagamento accettano anche carte di credito ed effettuano conti separati. Sono stato bene, sicuramente un luogo consigliato in cui mangiare.

Alcuni passanti ci hanno consigliato questo locale per pranzare il primo dell'anno: raggiunti telefonicamente ci hanno assicurato che c'era disponibilità di posti e ci avrebbero accolti anche con il nostro cagnolino: iniziamo bene! Abbiamo trovato facilmente il locale entrando da una porta laterale e ci hanno indirizzati in una saletta tutta per noi; peccato che non funzionasse il riscaldamento, delle sei lampadine ne mancassero due ed un lampadario era rotto! Ma non basta. Il tovagliolo rosso del cestino del pane era sporco ai bordi!!! Il menu fisso ci ha consentito di scegliere tra due antipasti, due primi e due secondi: tutto molto banale (con tanti alimenti surgelati come base) tranne la ottima pasta. Il conto è di 100 euro per 4 persone con una bottiglia d'acqua ed un quarto di vino della casa (senza frutta, dolci e caffè): che ne dite?

I rather get the impression that if you're a Palagianellian, then this is the in place to be seen in.Very smart and modern restaurant which looks both clean and orderly, with tables laid attractively whilst being well spaced to avoid crowding. There's an added bonus of a large, and equally appealing, terrace at the front of the restaurant. Everything looks great, and would grace the culinary portfolio of any town.We visited early on a Saturday evening, and things hadn't really got going although there were plenty of staff on standby. Possibly some were brought in for the weekend rush, we thought, as our friendly young waiter carefully poured a carafe of wine over our tablecloth. His next job was to gesticulate at the waitress fast approaching the table with our starters in order to get her to u-turn back to the kitchen for the mortadella which should have been atop our plates of bruschetta, cheese and tomato.Not long after, the main course arrived; sliced pieces of roast pork wrapped round bacon fat resting on a bed of bed of spinach and accompanied by some very al dente (i.e. cold and barely cooked) grilled vegetables. Interesting, naturally salty and not something I'd ever choose again.Having finished, we then experienced a total power cut for 30 minutes. Many readers can probably form a mental picture of a roomful of italians in a power cut - you'd be right! Eventually candles came out and the staff generally wandered round whilst we had a tableful of fast-congealing plates to look at. Eventually, I got our previously forgetful and somewhat dreamy waitress to deal with it.Happily, our dessert of caramel cheesecake was sublime.The Strega has a large pizza menu and does takeaways too. So during the evening, in this lovely restaurant, there was a queue of customers, many of whom looked like they had been digging the garden or mending their car, happily snaking around the room waiting patiently for their pizza order to arrive.So it was an interesting evening. However, it is a truly pleasant place so we went back a few days later. Unlike previously, we went outside on the terrace and got a table with a good view of the whole restaurant inside and out. Our waiter was a little taciturn but very professional and poured our bottle of wine, from a comprehensive wine list, perfectly. Like so many of the locals, we thought we'd try a pizza from the Strega's enormous and creative menu - again, all fine with dough not too thin and plenty of meaty topping. Couldn't resist another go at the caramel cheesecake whilst Mrs EPR tried the tiramisu. Both excellent.Locals love this place, and it's easy to see why. It's certainly got character.

Pizza nella media, ho gusti diversi. Condimento buono ma la pizza è un poâ molliccia. Preferisco impasti che restituiscono una pizza meno gommosa. Poca scelte di birre, nessuna alla spina. Amo la birra rossa, qui mi son dovuto accontentare di una heineken. Arredo retró con spazio esterno per le calde serate estive. Prezzo basso, personale cortese.

Quando siamo entrati sembrava chiuso, tutto buio, con un signore nella penombra che ci dice che invece il ristorante era aperto. Ci accende le luci, apparecchia e ci prende le ordinazioni. Doveva essere un pasto veloce e così è stato. Panzerotti e orecchiette, finalmente con la ricotta squant, o ricotta forte, ormai difficile a trovarsi nei ristoranti. Porzioni abbondantissime, discreta qualità e prezzi imbattibili. 28 euro in 4, compreso il coperto! Benemerito!

My wife and I ordered a couple different dishes to try and enjoy a full lunch experience in the town where her family originated. We ordered the muscles - ok - I have ordered them many times on Italy and the states - these were the best we have ever, ever eaten. Perfectly prepared, with bread to dip in the broth - simply beyond words. The Octopus (Polpo) was a bit tough - not sure if it was overcooked or a couple days old. The pizza was a disappointment. It was ok by US standards, however with the available ingredients, this was an Italian failure. Oh well.

Trovato per caso, decido di mangiare qui con la mia famiglia. Il locale è una gran bella sorpresa: personale gentile ed educato e abbondanza di cibo. Inoltre, gli antipasti sono molto buoni e le pizze, con impasto simil napoletano, sono davvero leggere, digeribili e gustose. Unico neo la grandezza del locale: troppo piccolo per ospitare tante persone

Ritorno di sabato sera in questo locale, all'arrivo, in terrazza all'aperto coperti esauriti, all'interno qualche posto ancora libero. Piccolo antipasto, polipo ad insalata, slegato al gusto, nel complesso buono. Pizze arrivate dopo un'ora abbondante di attesa, a me leggermente cruda e con un bordo soffice ma esageratamente spesso; buono l'impasto e il sapore in generale. La serata non è stata memorabile, soprattutto per il caos in sala (in movimento) e per la notevole quantità di gente a tavola, causa quest'ultima, dei notevoli ritardi del servizio

Siamo stati qui in occasione della giornata di Ferragosto 2019.Location molto caratteristica, immersa nella campagna pugliese tra campi e masserie. Si mangia molto bene, primo con i fiori di zucca ottimo, per non parlare della torta.Purtroppo sono costretto a mettere 3 stelle sia per il servizio davvero troppo lento, considerando che alle ore 16 dovevano ancora essere serviti i primi; sia per l'intrattenimento, all'inizio piacevole ma che poi diventa fastidioso. Musica davvero troppo alta, ci impediva persino di parlare tra di noi.Da migliorare sotto questi aspetti, ma sicuramente una buona location dove passare un pranzo o una cena in famiglia.

Visiting friends who took me there two nights in a row. Both nights were perfect and ever so different. The first night we enjoyed lovely pizzas and local wines. My "smoked" pizza was absolutely delicious, as was the wine. On our second visit, my friends had arranged for us to be served a wide array of "antipasti". Everything was delicious... one dish after the next. The staff was very friendly, attentive and kind. I would love to go back...
