You already list this establishment as a hotel, but I believe that more travelers would be interested in it as a restaurant. La Palomba indeed is an albergo, but it is better known as a restorante and pizzeria.

Mondavio with it's impressive fortress is a lovely side trip if you're touring the Marche region. La Palomba is a hotel restaurant that I found in Fred Plotkin's culinary guide to Italy and it didn't disappoint. First of all, there were only locals in the place--we were the only foreigners. We started with the house mixed anti-pasto which was very impressive and included the rarely seen component of truffled scrambled eggs which were a joy. Though it was lunch, they fire up the pizza only one day a week (thursday) and so we ordered a couple which were absolutely first rate. We ended with an insalata mista which was one of the best we had on our tour of the region. Highly recommended.

Visited this small pizzeria frequently when living in nearby Fano and it is a must to visit Walter's when staying with my girlfriend's family in Calcinelli. Everything the other reviewer said is spot on. Beats any other pizzeria in the region by a mile. And the prices are very giusto indeed!Grazie per la gentile recensione. Se abbiamo colpito nel cuore della Finlandia, un motivo ci sarà ...Sarò lieto di ospitarla nella mia pizzeria al suo prossimo soggiorno da queste parti.

It's a nice place, though I found it a bit noisy when it's full, so I'd recommend you to settle at the table on the terrace that gives you a wounderful view on the neighbour towns and villages(even the Adriatic sea far in the distance) , espicially charming in the evening. The stuff are friendly and attentive. The playground for kids is also a good idea. Meals: very tasty pizza with truffles and porcini mushrooms, black rice and marvellous grilled lamb with its natural taste (lovers of well-seasoned food may find it too simple, but for my taste it was perfect).

We visited this place by the recommendation of our Italian friends. Great choice of pizzas, high quality and good price we were finds in this restaurant. All meals were very delicious and testy !!!

Really big restaurant with at least + 100 seats on the terras. Quality of the food is unfortunately not as high as the possible customers...We had the cold antipasta of fish and the ones that ate this were sick the same evening...The pasta portions are extremely big and therefore not tastefull. For us a no go. There are better places in Mondavio on 5 km distance...

Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the local produce used in the dishes we requested and offered some great recommendations. The food itself was sublime! A mixture of light and hearty pasta courses with free flowing wine! A cosy fireplace in the main room supported by very efficient bar staff! I'd like to come back and visit during the Summer to see the terrace in all it's glory.

Me and my large family have had dinner here several times.Very nice, cosy location!Restaurant has a wood fired pizza oven, so pizza is very good.Food quality very good, service a bit slow but cheerful!I enjoyed the tagliata with porcini, the grilled vegetables platter and pizza in general.
