From the many reviews I read about the main choice at this place.. Pizza.. I thought we were in for a real treat. We ordered the Siciliana (Ham,Tomato,Olives,Salami,Bacon) It sounds great, Yet when we received it we both looked at it and just sighed. It's one of those moments you just sit back and think "do I even want to start this"The pizza base was thin, (not crispy like it should have been) it was soft and floppy. The cheese was not mozzarella but processed cheese of some sort that was barely even melted. The ham was of the lowest quality, the bacon was practically raw, the whole thing was just a mess. Now, I've eaten pizzas all around the world, Some of the finest and some of the worst but this was definitely in the top 20 worst. I've eaten better pizzas at Pizza Hut. I would strongly avoid pizzas at this place unless you like simple and bland. Not sure how the rest of the menu fairs but I don't hold much hope.

Restorán Estación, cocina internacional. Carnes, pescados, mariscos, pastas y pizzas. Espectacular vista, frente al mar. Ofrecemos alternativas vegetarianas. CoctelerÃa. Abierto de lunes a sábado de 12:30 a 00:00 hrs. Y domingos de 12:30 a 17:00 hrs. Mi C
Estación la Serena is a bar and a restaurant. "Cactus Bar and Beer" serves food from nect door Teodoro (pizza). They brew their own red ale and lager (rather a pale ale). The pisco sour is great. The restaurant, "Teodoro" serves large size but bland and tasteless pizza. It is difficult to ruin a pizza but this places does. I would recommend this place for drinks, but not for food.

El mejor restaurante de pastas fresca y pizzas artesanales de la IV REGION, ubicado en plena costanera de la serena .
I really enjoyed our first meal here, I had the pasta with pesto and both the pasta and pesto sauce were very good. My husband had his pasta with seafood. The sauce with his was a bit thin but there was an overabundance of seafood (albeit mainly prawn). As tends to be the case in Chile the portions were massive so we only managed to eat around half our meal, which was a shame as it was good. On the basis of very good pasta we thought we'd give the pizza a go but the pizza base definitely appeared 'industrial' rather than home made and they were a good size (i.e. not too big) and ok but nothing special and again way too much cheese - not as much as you'd get in Argentina but a bit much for our taste - for us with pizzas less is definitely more when it comes to cheese. I'd happily recommend the pasta but you could easily share a plate between 2 and then have room for either a shared starter or a dessert. On our 2nd visit (pizza) we managed to have a panna cotta each that was home made and very good. Definitely a game of 2 halves here. Not quite 'very good' though because of the pizza.

Huentelauquen is a large pizzeria with a beautiful setting and a nice mood. Usually packed, their pizzas and empanadas are good and fairly priced. They always have 4-5 local craft brews. Live music every night. Pizza are good but small and service is minimal.

We were fortunate to discover this restaurant (by personal recommendation) early in our 10 days in La Serena, and we were able to visit repeatedly. The name is misleading - perhaps leftover from a more modest epoch in the business development. "Pizza" suggests fast food and snacks - it would be more accurate to think of this as a place for fine dining. Everything that we tried, from appetizers to desserts, with wine along the way, was very good. Sea food and steaks were excellent. In fact, pizza was the least enjoyable dish we tried - rather soft, whereas we prefer some crispness to the crust. Prices good for value. Service excellent. Indoors, outdoors, nice view of the ocean from pretty much every table. Long hours. Not much English, but not a problem.

Restaurant Huentelauquen is located at the Avenida del Mar in La Serena. For chilly evenings the large wood-stove in the restaurant is a great plus. Service is adequate and fast.Huentelauquen offers a-la-carte Chilean food. We came on the day of the solar eclipse and the place was packed with tourists from Santiago. We thought that to be a good sign. What a mistake. We went for sirloin with home-made fries. The food was terrible. The sirloin so tough-meat that it was uneatable and the fries were cold. We told the waiter that the food was uneatable. He just said that the kitchen was overloaded. We got fresh fries. We ate some of the fries, paid and left the building.Restaurant Huentelauquen truly is a never-come-show.If you like to sit next to the stove, restaurant Huentelauquen is the place for you, but stay away from the bad food.
