Serving a wide range of international cuisines such as , pasta , steaks, seafood , curries ,pizza , salads and sandwiches
I had made reservations for my family of 7 as we had a flight to catch and wanted to make sure we could eat before we left. Made the reservations on Facebook and assumed all was fine. When we were arrived, staff said they had no reservations for us and when I showed them the message, said oh that staff member wouldnât have written it down. Thankfully it was a Monday and they had plenty of room, but keep that in mind. Our entire family enjoyed their meal. Portion sizes were huge and everything tasted good. Food was a little on the expensive side but given the portion sizes, it was still good value and no food complaints. Itâs a good convenient place to stop for a bite on the way to the airport.

Excellent thin crust pizza. Service was great, friendly staff made a late lunch extremely enjoyable. Parking was a bit of an issue but because of 3pm lunch/dinner time managed to get a spot. Will be back there on my next visit to Halifax!

Piatto is a gathering place centred around a passion for fine food, fabulous wines, friends and family. Check out the little gems we've come acrossâdiverse wines from across the globe, authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, coffee and fabulous dessertsâal
My family and I stopped here recently after taking in the Buskers. They offer a gluten-free crust, which is absolutely delicious! It was by far the best gluten-free crust Iâve had around here! Everyone in our group enjoyed their pizzas! The kitchen was a little backed up the night we were there, but our server, Natalie was absolutely wonderful and kept us informed! We will definitely return!

We went here for a birthday celebration. I made reservations months in advance and when I arrived we were hustled into a non view corner while more than half the restaurant was empty. The server was helpful and courteous but overall we felt as if we were not welcomed here and that was disappointing. We spent about $200 and next time will go to the Bicycle Thief or Press Gang where we have always felt welcomed.

We are a small family-run diner specializing in fresh deep-fried seafood, diner meals, homemade burgers, sandwiches and amazing pizza. Our fish has won "Best In Canada" by Canadian Living Magazine as well as 'Gold Awards' from The Coast Halifax for Best S
We luckily stumbled upon this small fish and chips shack/diner during our seemingly hopeless search for fried clams after the hurricane. Luckily Johnâs Lunch had plenty supply of fresh clams! We hadnât had clams like these before: airy crispiness, a perfect amount of light oily goodness and a hint of briny sweetness from the clams. We ordered the seafood platter and also enjoyed their fried scallops: Juicy and tender with the perfect bounce. It was so good we ordered a second for the plane ride back to Toronto.

Unique and delicious wood fired pizza served in a warm and cozy environment. Choose from a variety of mouth watering toppings not found elsewhere or even vegetarian and gluten free options.
Dined here for supper with several friends. With an extensive menu of interesting pizzas it was difficult to make a decision. Dave, the owner/manager, suggested the chef's special which was a fantastic pizza called Vexin - named after the town in France where the chef came from. The pizza included smoked bacon, caramelized onions, mushrooms and more. The crust was perfect - just enough crispiness around the edges. Dave treated us like family. The atmosphere is casual and bright. Prices are reasonable especially considering the quality and freshness of the food.

Let our Executive Chef Graham Ross create for you the divine tastes of Italy using only the freshest of seasonal ingredients. If you are looking for a location to host a private event, celebrating a special occasion, or just want to dine in one of Halifax
Awful attention to detail. Little things that "fine-dining" should be doing that they just ignore. For these prices, I expected more. Other restaurants in the area provide better experiences: taking your coat, wiping the table between courses.. We had 3 servers provide us service during one visit. If you're going to call yourself fine dining, then be fine dining.

Much of what I had to say when I last reviewed this restaurant as excellent in 2016 still applies and is even better with new decor. The more open and cozy atmosphere now provides a better ambiance. the menu is unchanged for the most part. Food is delicious as always with excellent service - that is why Restaurante El Mano had become our favorite lunch location several times a month despite Bishops Landing parking being a constant challenge.A couple of months ago the wine list changed. The current list remains decent and extensive, however, several excellent yet affordable choices have been eliminated and replaced with more costly choices. The least expensive per bottle Italian red wine Valpolicella is now @58.00 and the least expensive Chianti is $52.00 - a 20%+ increase.

We have been going to Vines Pasta Grill for about 15 years now for family special events. This week we celebrated two family birthdays with 18 folks. The hosting was on par with what one can expect from much more expensive restaurants. Ian was friendly, patient and had a great sense of humour. Never intrusive but always attentive to our needs - customer service is obviously a high priority at Vines. Every plate was a delicious tasting and filling experience. More than one in our party went home with some left overs. We chose a nice Italian Red to accompany the pasta and a complimentary bottle of Champagne for the birthday table was an amazing surprize. As usual many were raving about Vine's renowned Caesar Salad, a must have for new patrons. I would recommend Vines Pasta Grill to Halifax visitors and local folks who want a romantic dinner for two or that want to hold a large family event that won't break the bank. This is quality cuisine that keeps us coming back year after year! As stated in another review, this truly is a gem in Dartmouth/Cole Harbour. Bon Appétit!

Tomavinoâs is on the walkway by the Halifax Seaport Farmerâs Market. The style of restaurant is a sit down, quick service style in nature â you pay for your meal and it is delivered to your table. That said, the ambience was quite nice and the food was quite filling. I had the lobster roll with Caesar Salad and it was a very solid meal indeed, even the salad was quite nice. My wife had the lasagna and enjoyed it as well. Both were portioned fairly well for the $20 price tag at time of writing. Very good value for what you pay and great flavors. Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful as it will help me focus my future efforts. Enjoy your trip!
