This restaurant has recently opened under new name and management (it used to be called La Cantinetta) and the new team strive to provide the best possible food accompanied by the best possible service.As with every new venture there are inevitable teething problems but let's focus on the food: excellent authentic Napolitan pizza from the most simple (Bufalotta) to the most complex (Avvocato). The kitchen food is more progressive and you can clearly see that the chef is walking the extra mile by using fresh & seasonal ingredients and takes the time to present the food with an artistic touch. At the end of the day we eat with our eyes too ;)So you may ask yourself why so much praise yet only a 4 out of 5 rating?Well the timing needs improving. Not all the food we ordered was served at the same and right time. Not worth a detour but, if you are on your way to/from, say, Varese from/to the Swiss border at Porto Ceresio, on Lake Lugano, definitely worth knowing for a quick coffee, ice-cream, and pizza by the slice, as well as some lunchtime sandwiches and salads.Certainly the only place in the area that offers such a range, from about 8am through to 11pm. Friendly and efficient service from owners Fabio and Maria, with tables inside, and on a small patio, as well as a couple facing the street.Pizza by the slice, or take out a whole pie. In the latter case, the choice of toppings is extensive. In the former, there's usually three or four options.Definitely in the "cheap and cheerful" category, Gelateria PizzaIn gets pretty busy, with a strong local trade, but there's always room for a few more; if there's no room in the small car-park, there should be something nearby.

This place exceeded our expectation. Staff is very friendly. But the best part is their Pizza because it is something special, they call it Pinsa and it is the best pizza we had in the north of italy. I had a Pinsa Regina, my husband opted for the Pinsa Valtellina, both soft and sublime. Highly recommend this place.

Locale ben ristrutturato, ampio parcheggio, piacevole impatto visivo. Pulito. Buona accoglienza, comanda di 23 persone senza errori e veloce nell'acquisizione. Buona scelta di bevande. Birra alla spina ben spillata con la giusta quota di schiuma. Ampia scelte di pizze sia classiche che "speciali".Pizza bassa e molto grande , con buon impasto di ottima digeribilità . Cottura ineccepibile e buona alveolatura della corona. Chi ha mangiato il pesce si è dichiarato soddisfatto. Buona scelta di dolci ed amari. Prezzo assolutamente adeguato.Promosso a pieni voti.

Based on the recommendations and ratings on here we paid a visit for dinner... it certainly didn't disappoint! Between us we ordered a calzone and a pizza (as pictured), both were delicious. I swapped out olives on mine for some Brie. The local tomatoes are so tasty they really did add so much to the pizza, unlike in the U.K. The dough was super, not too heavy. We were the first to be seated around 19:00 but within half an hour it was almost full of Italians so obviously a popular place. There were many pizzas going out in take away boxes too. Restaurant is very plain and nothing to write home about but the food is great!

A fabulously charming restaurant located by a man made lake made by the owners of the same restaurant.Delightful seafood and mouth watering deserts.One of those unique experiences in life one must afford themselves if at all possible.Also its a short drive to Lugano, Switzerland which is a wonderful place to go after.Go and eat at this place, you will be glad you did.

We were on our way to the usual place where a 9,50 lunch is served (OK food, not too bad place despite the bad reviews mainly because of the service that I would avoid it on weekends!) when we saw this one on the same road... why not give a try here? The restaurant located on the second floor of an old apartments building, once in, I was a little shocked about the sudden change; outside, old world (some hanged clothes with an old lady sitting in the balcony) and inside new, renovated like any other restaurant with a nice atmosphere... everywhere was spotless clean (in and out). There were already some guests; couples, blue and white collar groups... This is a good sign...We had their day menu, everything well presented and delicious, a bit oily the âpizzocheriâ... We ordered a pizza too and it was very good. Also noticed that they prepare pizzas for coeliacs... Bill was 42,00 (2 day menus of 2 courses each, 1 pizza, desserts, drinks, cover charges, coffee and spirit) I would say, not bad... service was good and professional.Definitely my new place for a lunch or pizza evening without being served snootily or be treated like a dog...

Really didn't expect to find a fantastic restaurant in such a neighborhood; it would have belonged in a great city. The waiter was really pleasant and the food was absolutely fantastic. The price was far below any similar restaurant and we are planning to return soon.

Very good pastas, and wood oven pizza and seafood. The hosts are genuinely friendly, unpretentious and caring, and welcomed our little dog warmly!
