We have been to Farina a number of times and have found the food to be consistently excellent and the service to be quick and efficient. Be sure to buy a loaf of the Italian bread they bake on premises to take home.
This is the newest addition of a New Haven Tradition for pizza with the other locations in Madison and Clinton. The food is fantastic, the pizza's are very different including a spaghetti pizza, Pulled pork pizza and of course traditional. My personal favorite is the Pesto Pizza and the Margarhita. We tend to dine in as it's a bit of a drive, but worth the trip. They do have take out and delivery. Service is homey and it has a family feel.

Ordered a pizza and eggplant parm dinner for delivery. Driver showed up without the dinner so we had the pizza while we waited for the driver to return with the eggplant dinner. Pizza tasted like frozen as another reviewer stated. The eggplant parm dinner was mediocre at best quite dry with hardly any sauce. I don't get all the rave reviews for this place maybe just an off night but I doubt I'll be back.

My husband and I are pizza hounds. I often tell him, if I'm on my deathbed, he's to IV only certain pizzas down me. If I don't immediately get up and dance, pull the plug because nothing on earth will revive me. Carpanzano 's is one I want along with Pepe's. Some people think they know pizza, as in people in entire states. Nope. Been there, ate there and while it might be good, THAT " ain't " pizza. As for the rest of that stuff people call pizza, really just chew a rubber mat because it's equalivant in flavor and texture. Carpenzano's offers a delightful and delicious pizza. Crust : flavorful, thin and crispy. Sauce is seasoned well. It reminds my husband of the great sauces he had on his pizza as kid growing up in Brooklyn. Cheese done perfectly. Overall, perfection in each bite. It freezes well and reheats beautifully. Sometimes we have it for breakfast. Yes, people, now you are starting to understand what separates the men from the boys as far as the pizza love fest goes. Additionally, we always get a gorganzola salad with our order. It's the best salad from any pizza place we've had in New Haven and Fairfield counties combined. I would personally only do take out at Caroenzanos. Oh , the owner is the real deal Italian FROM Italy. He returns there to see his family. This recipe is from his heart and from his region in Italy . He offers other Italian dishes. I haven't tried them because I am a pizza addict and am in constant need of a fix.

Relaxed, modern Italian spot serving pizza, pasta & traditional entrees with a Sunday brunch buffet. Also offering kinds of catering options so that you and your guests can enjoy our fine Italian dining outside of our restaurant.
My sister has a yearly beach party that hosts our entire family, most of whom are Italian â â the food has been acquired from Anthonyâs of Guildford for over 10 years now by request. They never ever disappoint!Anthonyâs always has waiting what is ordered on time and ready to go. As the food is being rounded up to be put into the car, the bread is freshly baked and pulled out of the oven just in time to make the trip. The bread defies description â â the smell is out of this world and the taste, well you just have to try to believe it. Then there is the penne alla vodka, a big hit with everyone. The sauce is creamy, punctuated with chunks of tomato and pancetta, with the pasta being perfectly al dente every time. There is also always stuffed shells â â the cheesy filling is ricotta with mozzarella mixed, with just enough spice added to give it flavor, and the pasta shells swim in perfect tomato sauce. Big Yum!! There is always a tray of chicken Parmesan â each fillet is pounded to perfection, lightly coated and fried, then smothered in red sauce with mozzarella cheese atop. Absolutely delightful! Always in attendance is a large tray of sausage and peppers with a light light red sauce, red and green peppers with onions and sausage halves â A definite crowdpleaser. Rounding out the table is a large tray of meatballs each one the size of a small grapefruit, perfectly seasoned and almost impossible to finish by oneâs self! Thereâs always a large salad for variety and the requisite piles of fresh bread, absolutely necessary to sop up the delicious flavors that coat the plate.Anthonyâs will always be able to count on our family members as loyal customersThank you for the wonderful review, Elizabeth! We are so happy to hear that you've enjoyed you and your family have once again enjoyed your take out experience. We always strive to make sure that our guests leave feeling completely satisfied and we're happy to see that our efforts have not gone unnoticed! We appreciate your continued business and we look forward to serving you again soon!

this has been our consistent go to for Friday night pizza.....the veggie bomb...go no further for a loaded pie.....crust could be thinner, but might no hold up to the weight of the condiments....friendly staff and salads if needed....we do take out...pretty good eggplant parm sub too.

Superb thin crust pizza, good value, friendly owner-operated restaurant. They only have a few tables for in house dining; this is more of a take out option. I will be back.

The menu has a variety of Italian dishes. My friend and I were there for pizza. I chose a white pizza with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic and fresh basil. I added ricotta. It was outstanding. The crust was thin and perfectly cooked. Loved the flavors, especially the creamy ricotta. I can honestly say, this was the best pizza I have eaten. The restaurant is located on the Guilford Green. The Green is a lovely place in the center of Ild Guilford.

Road trip up to Stonington, CT, late one Friday evening and hopped off I95 in Guilford to see what we could find. This place was perfect! We didn't have reservations, but they offered us a cozy seat by the window and it was perfect. Delectable salad and a pizza for my husband and I hit the spot! The sauce, sausage, and cheese were delicious and the crust got our high marks for thin and tasty. The place was jumping with lively groups at the counter and it was fun to watch the staff and diners chat and discuss the food. Our servers were very helpful making suggestions about their favorites and checking back with us every few minutes to make sure we were happy. They squeezed us in and we couldn't have been happier! We'll be back!
