Gorizia [ɡoˈrittsja] listen (help·info) (Slovene: Gorica, colloquially stara Gorica 'old Gorizia', German: Görz, Friulian: Guriza) is a town and comune in northeastern Italy, in the autonomous region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is located at the foot of the Julian Alps, bordering Slovenia. It is the capital of the Province of Gorizia and a local center of tourism, industry, and commerce. Since 1947, a twin town of Nova Gorica has developed on the other side of the modern-day Italian–Slovenian border. The entire region was subject to territorial dispute between Italy and Yugoslavia after World War II: after the new boundaries were established in 1947 and the old town was left to Italy, Nova Gorica was built on the Yugoslav side. Taken together, the two towns constitute a conurbation, which also includes the Slovenian municipality of Šempeter-Vrtojba. Since May 2011, these three towns are joined in a common trans-border metropolitan zone, administered by a joint administration board.

Few times... but.... not exactly what you would expect. Situated on the border with Italy. Very trendy spot. Food is ok. But we have to be honest - nothing extreme. And absolutely to expensive for what it offers. Toilettes poor and untidy. You can get much better restaurants in the area. If you miss this one, you do not miss much.

Lovely lunch spent with family at bistrot allâinternazionale. Very welcoming staff and delicious menu. Flavours match are well tought , tasty and nice looking plate!! Good selection of wine!!Congratulations guys, keep up the great work!You will hear about this place!

Mediterraneo Resturant/Pizzeria it's a nice and peacefull place where you can enjoy the tipical italian pizza made from Giuliano, the owner, in more then 40 different types drinking a cold beer, or choose the fresh fish that everyday is available there. Do not forget to ask for home made "tiramisu". It's amazing!

If you're in Gorizia and are looking for a pizza or a pizza-like dish, this is your place! We had an awesome dinner here, the staff was very polite and friendly and they spoke good English. The atmosphere is great, they're located on a pedestrian only street that leads to the city's downtown core. Great prices. They even went 2 streets down from their location and got smokes for us, as you need a special ID card to buy smokes from vending machines in Italy. The pizza was awesome and my partner has a calzone. Huge size portions but the food is so good you can't help yourself. We went out for what was supposed to be a quick dinner and spent almost 3 hours in this little restaurant.

We went there more by accident, but liked the food. The menu is in 5 languages and the waiters speak English (not always the case in Italy). The wine we chose got very quaffable after the first glass. Food is mainly pizza, but they have about 6 pasta dishes. There is a playground where the kids can swing and make niose all over the place. It was full with locals.thanks for the review..

I visited this restaurant at 6Pm and really busy with the coming order! People come and take away the pizza with reservation. Price is very good! I order a small size magarita and it's just 4eruos. I could nt finish by my own. Good place with nice bar!

From Italy I wanted to have another last pizza and that was why I had a choice in this place. The place is in the center of the Italian part of Gorizia near the main road, parking is easy on any side street. Pizza delivery is very generous and there is also a daily menu of specialties to choose from.The served pizza was great, bringing the perfect quality hoped for both the pasta and the condiments and the baking.I got the pizza in about 15 minutes.The place is apparently a favorite among locals, as many guests are welcomed as friends, so it is likely that the high quality is constant.Everyone is recommended to place a quality pizza in the area at a good value for money.

Pizza was okay but nothing special. They have a big bread oven and the "cook" was making five at a time. The 4 pizzas arrived to our table almost at the same time. Beer was also good, austrian or german, not too heavy, went perfectly with the pizza. The desert was also ok but then again nothing special - would have helped if it was fresh. I would deffinitely recomend for families or for someone who wants to try something new in the area...

Ormai è da tanto che regolarmente prendiamo per asporto varie prelibatezze che offre questo locale. Per mancanza di tempo e praticità , questa opzione è per noi utilissima e ci siamo ormai abituati ai loro panini ma avevamo provato anche altro. Tra i nostri preferiti il panino Prince, succoso e ricco con mix di sapori perfetti tra loro. Sempre buonissimo e sempre precisi nel concordare lâorario per il quale devono preparare. Che dire, una garanzia!
