Large individual pizzas, thin crust style with a good char. Friendly staff, informal family atmosphere and a bargain at the price. We will definitely return when we are in the area; it's the best pizza we've had around Fornaci or Barga.

We picked this restaurant because it was open on a holiday but how lucky were we to find it. The pizza crust in not too thin or too thick, lots of choices for toppings and they serve wine even though this is a small pizzeria and not a restaurant (most in Tuscany do but it always surprises me). Very reasonable and the people who work there are SO friendly. There were language issues and they worked with us to make sure we got what we wanted and were happy.

Caffe Capretz is in the centre of the beautiful mediaeval town of Barga. The small balcony accommodates a dozen diners and provides a spectacular setting for lunch or dinner. There is an interesting menu of local and international dishes. Service is efficient and friendly and the chef, Laura, is accomplished. We had two generous antipasti and 2 main courses for less than â¬50 including wine.

I have loved eating here multiple times during my visits. Love the Piccante Pizza. Tasty food, wine, dessert and great service from the family. The main dining room is very cute and cozy. Prices are reasonable too. Will certainly return next year!

This is an ideal venue for lunching and dining, whether as a couple or part of a larger group; also ideal for special occasions and events. The lunch menu during the week is fantastic value for money; superb food including water, wine and coffee - all for 10euros! The location is easily accessible and with ample parking. The restaurant itself is large but also intimate. The staff and service is friendly and efficient. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.

I was delighted to be able to return to La Bionda twice this October and both times it was really good. I experimented with a stuffed calzone - delicious! Service from the very friendly Monia was excellent. Tremendous value for a huge, piping hot, crispy, delicious pizza.

Eat here regularly every time we are in fornaci. Food always very good and as is the service. Would recommend lunch menu very good value. Also pizza and meals in the evening also very good. Wish we had restaurants like this one back in Scotland.

Word of mouth from the local villagers led us to Barchetto. They knew what they were talking about. It's a fabulous setting and the service was very attentive, helpful and efficient. We only looked at the seafood options and were very pleased with our meals. The entree with 6 different tastings was absolutely delicious.

We visited Trovaposo which was recommended by an Italian lady working in our hotel. Really good place for pizza. They also have other Italian food, but we only ordered pizza. This is a typical Italian restaurant family fully consistent with our conceptions, as it should look like a family pizza restaurant in a small Italian village. and to do so in the best possible way. Very nice traditional interior, nice, but not intrusive service ... delicious pizza. I recommend to all pasing nearby Barga!
